"For the first time ever I walked in the store just to check it out I’ve heard about it but never went in so as soon as I walked in a male employee said “ he will walk out soon “ to one of his employees and when I walked out in less than 30 seconds he said “ I told you” I looked at a pair of pants & a couple of items that was priced at 100$ & above and that’s why I walked out but for the male employee to even say anything like that will drive customers away I don’t think its a good show of customer service."

"Just close this store already. The place looks deserted, with empty racks and very little stock. Truly can't say I "shopped" here, with the scarce merchandise."

"Staff are extremely rude. No one spoke to me or even acknowledged me. To add to that, one woman kept following me around and peeking around to watch me as if she thought I was stealing. If you're going to follow me around, at least say hello to me!! I will not step foot in this store again."

"The employees at this store are extremely rude. First, I walked by at least 3 employees and wasn’t spoken to or acknowledged in anyway. I’m a former Banana Republic employee and have worked in several other retail store so I can attest that not speaking to customers is not what employees are trained to do. Second, when I approached an employee to ask if they carried a specific shirt (as a previous employee I knew BR previously carried shirts similar to the one I was looking for), she didn’t even look up from the stack she was folding and interrupted me before I could finish describing the item I was looking for and said “no we don’t carry that.” So I decided to leave and as I was leaving I noticed a section with the item I was looking for. And THEN as I’m looking at the shirt and checking for my size another employee follows me to the section and stands there watching me. She didn’t say hi or ask if I needed help or anything. So at that point they didn’t have my size so I just left and decided not to look any further because it seemed my presence wasn’t really wanted."

"I spend a lot of money at the friendship heights location and moved closer to this store. The sales associates are rude—they don’t like it when you want to take a pair of pants off the rack or stacks as they don’t like it when you might make things slightly less presentable. They also follow you and if you go to look at something they are right there to get it for you but are literally on top of you. It’s nice to just be able to look around a store and not worry about if you might touch something. I think I will order online from now on."
