"I was a little worried reading some of the reviews, but we had a great time! Took my daughter here during her birthday month to get the Birthday Bear special. Build-A-Bear can be pretty expensive, so the birthday bear (pay the $ of the child's age) is a great budget friendly option. I was really excited to give my daughter this opportunity and she really enjoyed herself. There's even a station where you can "wash" your bear after it's been made (it's really brushes to help fluff the fur). Staff was kind and helpful, and it was really fun to watch the bear get made. We didn't get any of the extras, but there's lots of cool options if you want to further customize your bear/friend. In the end, we walked away spending $5 plus tax, so if you've got a young one with a birthday coming, it's totally doable on tight budgets."
