"Not friendly, overcharged, housekeeping busted in my door. The room was not clean. Couldn't leave because they wouldn't refund. The only good thing was the little lady who does the breakfast , I have a call to their corporate office."

"Would give zero stars if I could. My family of 5 stopped to stay here to break up a 15 hour drive. It was absolutely disgusting. First room had spills all over the walls and sofa chair, no sheets for the pull out bed. The drawer in the nightstand had crumbs, dust and hairs all inside it. There were boogers on the bathroom walls. I asked to switch rooms, the girl at the front desk gave us new room keys and sheets for the pull out couch in case there weren't any. The next room appeared cleaner, although when trying to shut the curtains (that do not shut) a bug or something fell out of them, I don't know what because the light in between the beds didn’t work. Upon reading more reviews I saw a post with pictures of bed bugs, so I wanted to at least make sure I didnt see any in our room - There were toenail and fingernail clippings in the bedskirt and side of the bed my sons were going to sleep in. That was the final straw for me, I already knew I couldn't sleep in there, but now I wasn't going to allow my babies to try either. Don't stay here. The pictures and outside are very, very misleading, and the rooms are all falling apart and not taken care of at all. Also the site says it is a 100% smoke free hotel - the hallways on the first floor smell like a bar, that is where both the rooms we were given were I am not sure about the others."

"This hotel was as if the owner said "good enough" and never came back. There was chipped paint on the walls of our room, the stiffest beds, clean, but just stained sheets, and hair on the bathroom shower. The coffee at the breakfast station also tasted rancid. The staff on the other hand was very friendly and helpful. They accommodated us when we needed anything. I don't regret booking here, but I may look around more the next time we look for hotels in Salem, VA."

"I was there for 2 nights. Checked in went to my room. I sleep with a CPAP, took my machine to check electric plugs. Couldn't get electricity to the wall socket or lamp fixtures. Went to let front desk know, given new room. Electricity worked good. Second night, returned from being out, had to use bathroom badly, while flushing, the toilet overflowed, couldn't get anyone to respond to the room, phone in room didn't work. Never got anyone to respond after 1 hour, went to front desk and got another room. So 3 rooms in 2 nights. So 2nd room was left flooded for day shift maintenance personnel. I apologize that this happened but when you got to go, it happens. You need to renovate this property, it Beautiful and the location is Perfect. Also you need to have maintenance personnel on each shift, at least 2 per shift just dedicated for maintenance issues that arise. Thank you for letting me stay in your facility. I would have rated this higher but there were too many problems with the stay."

"Room was great! So much better than extended stay or anywhere else I've stayed in this journey. The hostess was so attentive and it was such a relief to have someone that actually cares. Thank you for a great stay and a great night. This is my go to hotel now to southern Virginia."
