“Overall its a great accommodation. Great location and convenient to public transport and to the beach The room is very nice and has a great touch of interior design. It would have been good to have breakfast during the week and a selection of food and beverages in the bar fridge which would be handy afterhours. Unfortunately I didn't get to try the food from the restaurant. But I would definitely stay again.”

“What a hidden gem! This gorgeous establishment sits on Avoca Road, so is incredibly central and is an easy walk to the light rail. We booked as we were seeing Elton John at Allianz Stadium, and it was incredibly easy to get there from this location. Staff were amazingly friendly, the place was beautifully decorated and very clean. Our room faced the road but traffic noise was not an issue. Slept wonderfully in clean, comfortable beds. Was concerned about parking, but found a spot on a nearby street without a time limit, so overall very happy with our experience and would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.”

“We stayed in the hotel for 11 nights. It is beautiful heritage building and rooms are tastefully decorated and huge. The staff were very cordial and friendly. Really enjoyed our stay there. Good restaurants are available nearby. Would love to stay their again”

“The shop, staff and service are excellent. Our first visit involved the staff providing patient, clear explanation of what grooming was necessary and options were possible. We ended up needing a very short cut for our pup, and were nervous, but with our expectations set well we were delighted with the results. The whole family, pup included, are very pleased. “Clean, comfortable room. Very pleasant and helpful Reception staff. Good fridge, microwave, crockery,cutlery, etc. available. Laundry on site. Nice big opening window for fresh air. Quiet, in spite of being right next door to Coogee Pavillion. Above all, a great location,right beside the beach, the beautiful coastal walk, shops, and bus stops.”

“Firstly I've stayed at higher end places and not been treat like this. Felt immediately comfortable and welcomed! Its a very short walk to a wonderful beach and views. Wine and beer and the Irish pub downstairs. Don't worry you can't hear down stairs even when they live music in the bar! The meals are amazing! And you can take it to your room if you want. Order on the phone. My room was "turned down" when I left for the day. Its super clean and close to so many things!”

“The location is good. Light rail station just in front of the hotel. Very easy to access local restaurants, chemists, banks, and supermarkets. Close to the beach as well. Very nice Hotel, the room is clean and quiet at night. The bed is very comfortable. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The Hotel building is beautiful. Definitely will stay here again and highly recommend it to others.”

“Visited for dinner for a mate’s birthday. It was a Friday night and service was good. Young energetic staff, aesthetically what you’d expect in a nice pub near the beach, good size screen with the footy on and I enjoyed my parmy which was a decent size and price. Parking surprisingly was not hard to find on street, must have been a quieter Friday night.”

“I don't generally stay at the hotel over night. I only know what others have said about the rooms. But, I regularly visit the restaurant. The food there is superb. From cheap, wonderfully made, steaks, to deliciously made Italian food or burgers. Those two guys are brilliant at their work, and they have been since my first date here with my now wife over ten years ago. I am not a big drinker. Maybe one or two pints a year. But I had a Toohey's there recently, and it went down a fine treat. I highly recommend this place.”

“I recently visited this fantastic bar in Coogee, that left me feeling like I had discovered a hidden gem. This bar was situated right in front of the coastline, with a beautiful backyard that offered stunning views of the Thompsons Bay. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday at this bar, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, even when we realized we had forgotten to bring candles for the cake. They quickly came to our rescue and provided us with candles so we could properly celebrate the occasion. The bar itself had a great selection of drinks, including some unique and creative cocktails that were a real treat. The backyard was the perfect spot to enjoy a drink and take in the breathtaking views of the ocean. Whether you're looking for a place to relax with friends or celebrate a special occasion, this bar has it all. Overall, I would highly recommend this bar to anyone looking for a great spot in Coogee. “Amazing location, easily accessible by light rail from Central and a short walk to the nearest cafe. I booked a room with private ensuite bathroom - I loved the beds, they were so comfortable, I had the best nights sleep in them. The place was very clean, sheets were white and spotless, and the decor was very inviting. I booked this place last minute yet The Alison gave me a wonderful experience with staying in Sydney despite my late booking. I was also provided a parking spot that was secure and easy to access. I would definitely return back to The Alison for my next trip! Only negative was the walls were definitely very thin and we could hear people in the hallway and upstairs thumping. I brought my ear plugs so it wasn't an issue, but my partner was frequently woken up by noisy patrons/children in other rooms. Overall, I would highly recommend The Alison to anyone, however book a room with private ensuite if possible and bring some ear plugs just to make your experience a bit more comfortable. Thank you staff for providing me a perfect place to stay in the bustling heart of Sydney.”

“I stayed at the Blenheim while family was in hospital. It has no better location for both the prince of wales and children's Hospital that are directly across the street. The receptionist Alchana was beyond fantastic for helping me find rooms to stay when the length of time was uncertain. Going out of her way to inform me of cancellations and continuously rebooking me in. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Though the bathrooms could use a little extra bleach. There is a communal kitchen with cooking facilities available for those who stay.”

“I have eaten in alot of pubs and this place stands out. I have had 4 meals now at this place and each time was surprised by the level of food served. It is pub food cooked well. The chef deserves a raise! I want him or her to keep working here so I can keep coming here for good food. The prices r very reasonable considering the inflation. Well done chef. U r serving restaurant quality food. Hats off to u for proper good chefing!”

“This accommodation is just a stone's throw from the beach. It is clean, cozy and offers everything you need for a short or even longer stay. The kitchen is large and well equipped, the shared bathrooms are clean and spacious. Washing machine, dryer and iron are also available.”

“It's a great place to stay and enjoy the beach. Close to the Coogee Beach, taking only a few mins to walk. Clean rooms, kitchen, and all the other places around like backyard and toilets. It's near Woolworths so convinient to get some grocery.”

“The staff is amazing, the hostel was pretty quite which I liked it, nice hanging out area, the kitchen was not too bad, the location is very comfy, the hostel would need some renovation for sure, especially removing the mould would be great! Good price though”

“This pub was so busy, it was a great atmosphere with a live DJ and the sport on the screens. Ordering was really easy via a QR code on the table. We ordered a steak and a burger and they came really quickly, so quick I questioned if they were for us. The steak I had was probably the best steak I have had in a long time. It was cooked perfectly seasoned well fell apart in my mouth. The selection on the menu was great exactly what you would expect from an upmarket Pub. I would definitely check this place out of you are looking for a good feed in Sydney.”
