Cheshire Boutique Barns
“Stayed here over Christmas. It was very kindly donated to "somethingtolookforwardto" for terminally ill people. I have stage 4 non smokers lung cancer and this stay was so perfect and magical. It gave me, my partner and my daughter some magical memories. Ones I'm sure they will treasure once I'm gone. We stayed in the "Cowshed" . The barn itself is so beautiful. With 2 hidden double ended baths. One outside and one in the middle of the room. The place was decorated for Christmas and it looked like something out of a Christmas movie! Thank you so much to Cheshire Barns! Love Becky, Joe and Lexi”
The Cheshire Cat
“I made a great choice when I booked an overnight stay online in a double room for myself & my partner. The room was smart & clean with everything we required while the staff were all very professional, friendly & helpful with attention to detail making our stay thoroughly enjoyable. The dinner and breakfast in the lovely restaurant were both plentiful and delicious. Our experience at the wonderful Cheshire Cat left us refreshed with very happy memories we will both cherish.”
The Ryles Arms
“Not having stayed there, but would consider it. Everything associated with our group visit was lovely, staff polite, and efficient. The meals were lovely and plentiful, each one served nicely. A good and varied menu to please all tastes and reasonably priced. It was a very enjoyable evening”
The Alexandra Court Hotel
“A lovely place. Great hosts and rooms. Breakfast was great (only thing we would recommend is decent bread, maybe a local bakery) We loved it all though x”
Red Lion Inn
“Very cozy atmosphere, tables set out really nicely. We had a selection of nibbles for lunch; pigs in blankets, chicken bites with sweet chilli dip and houmous with olives. All very tasty. The hosts were very cheerful and helpful.”
Egerton Manor Farm B&B and Holiday Cottages
“Arrived at the site to be greeted by Tim, whom showed us around the area. He kindly showed us the shower area and toilet facilities. All which where in spotless condition. Also pointed out where we could place our rubbish. The area we camped on was clean, lots of space to walk around. And they have a lovely area where they house their rescued hens. Lovely place to stay and we will definitely be back again”
The Bear's Paw
“Hands down the best hotel experience I’ve had in England. The room was fantastic! Everything was so clean and welcoming. The staff are just wonderful and warm people. Food is great! Highly recommend Bears Paw. I hope to be back! Thanks for a great stay!”
Manor House Hotel and Spa, Alsager
“We enjoyed the 'afternoon cosy spa'. Excellent facilities, lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly. Swim up jacuzzi and mulled wine particular favourite. Inside and outside spa facilities, changing rooms excellent. Everywhere smells gorgeous. We had lunch, only a sandwich but very nice. Blueberry mocktail amazing. Will definitely return.”
The Plough Inn
“What an outstanding place. I was taken here today by a friend who had been before and said how nice it was. Nice was not the word. Excellent out standing friendly, warm cosy, serving the most amazing food. I have eaten in a long time. The attention to detail on each course served was impeccable. Hot tasty, food, full of flavour and the cheese pie was the best I’ve ever eaten. You could tell that the staff really enjoyed working there from their mannerisms teamwork and their friendly helpfulness. I felt the love between them, who they worked for, and the venue. it was very busy with a wedding going on in the next room, but that didn’t stop the five star service and even went the extra mile with no problems. The desserts were also as delicious and the whole menu looked very appetising enough for me to need to visit again to try something else. I would highly recommend this place whether it be for a special celebration or just lunch for two and even though it’s a good 30 minute travel for me I will make the journey.”
The White Lion Restaurant & Hotel Weston
“The White Lion is a large pub with lots of space in a variety of styles from small personal rooms to reception rooms and a traditional pub bar. The menu is extensive and the food offered tasty and generous. The staff were helpful and friendly. A good vibe and a lovely experience.”
Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa
“Beautiful place to rest, great guest services. The hotel has a great climate of old style village manor houses. You are amazed just from the begining and you can feel that you are very welcome in the hotel. I would gladly come back someday.”
Peckforton Castle
“Booked for my parents with a voucher for Xmas just recently had the chance to go. They absolutely loved it! They have been to a couple of castles before and they said this was amazing! Excellent value for money and the staff were excellent and couldn’t do more for them. She is wanting everyone to go! They couldn’t rate it higher. The Herring’s! Thank you”
Waggon & Horses, Eaton
“Went for an early doors meal with my husband to celebrate his birthday. So glad we booked as saw a few people turned away, it was St Patrick's day though. The makeover is magnificent! I couldn't recognise any of the original rooms, it's been done to such a fantastic standard. The loos are fabulous too, so often they get overlooked, but not here. Food, pretty wonderful to be honest and not expensive. Drinks are what you'd expect to pay in an upmarket pub. Staff friendly and efficient. Come and see for yourself, you'll not be disappointed. Well done Waggon and Horses, the only thing missing was Tuli the Unicorn!”
The Stanley Arms Hotel

Warner Hotels - Alvaston Hall
“Just returned from a four day break at Alvaston Hall with Family members ad we all had a very enjoyable time. It was all up to the usual Warners standard with good food, good entertainment, friendly staff and comfortable accommodation. Last visited Alvaston Hall in 2007 and it was good to see that great changes and improvements have been made. The whole complex is now very nice indeed. Will I visit again? Yes I will!!”
No.32 Tarporley
“My girlfriend booked here for our anniversary, where to start... The hotel is great, the suite we stayed in was clean and comfy. As a special touch, Aiden and his team put rose petals on our bed along with some chocolates. I have nothing but praise, what I loved about this hotel was its boutique feeling and it had its own unique feeling. The restaurant and bar was also great! All in all, a fantastic hotel and the bonus of being a village full of great pubs. We will be back!”
The Lion & Swan, Congleton
“Friends and I went in for afternoon tea. Staff were very helpful and attentive. The portions of savoury, scones and cakes were very generous, delicious and followed by more than ample individual trifles. A lovely afternoon with friends made even better by the quality of food and thoughtful service. Would highly recommend thank you”
Egerton Arms, Astbury
“We were very disappointed with the menu not a chicken dish or lasagna. The menu says pasta and risotto but no risotto on the menu at all. The pizza my husband had (margarita) was ok but really it would be better to be able to order 8" 10" but there's just 12". The girls who served us were nice that's only good thing we could say about the experience.”
Premier Inn Crewe Central hotel
“Family visit, just one night but could easily stay for a week. Very clean, comfortable, excellent location to station and town, parking is good and well lit. Restaurant next door is very good as well.”
De Vere Cranage Estate
“What a beautiful place . Great location and grounds, the interior is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Our room was lovey and clean had a safe, iron, ironing board and a well stocked hospitality tray, the bed was really comfortable. The food is excellent quality and was delicious (it was a buffet style breakfast) and had a huge variety of hot and cold very tasty. The staff couldn't do enough to help and all were very friendly.. Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa
“We stayed here overnight on a spa deal and wow, we were blown away. The drive up to the castle is just wow!! The castle has so much history and we really enjoyed walking around reading about everything. The staff are really friendly and we even got shown personally to our room which was a lovely touch. I can't remember the man who took us but he was very informative and I was happy to meet another step counter - ha. We used the spa and again, super helpful. I forgot to pack a bobbly for myself and the lady on reception looked everywhere and managed to find one and she came and gave me it which I was so so so grateful for - THANKS!! The real show stealer for me on this visit was the gym... it's not your average dusty aged spa gym. This is a top spec gym with an absolute huge variety of equipment it's insane. The gym manager was really friendly and showed me around. If I am to visit again.... I will be spending more time in the gym ha!!!”
Wychwood Park Hotel - Managed by Legacy Hotels and Resorts
“Attended a meeting here in one of their smaller conference rooms. It was comfortable, modern and well kept. The staff were pleasent and helpful. Easy access to drinks and the lunch was good and choice of foods worked well. The car park was also big enough to cope with number of guests. Definately recommend for meetings.”

Premier Inn Macclesfield South West hotel
“The premier Inn was great as usual. Stayed here many times now. Shame the restaurant is diabolical. Breakfast is atrocious. Half the items unavailable. Staff most unpleasant and unhelpful. They even forgot my child's porridge even after I reminded then. Would never eat here again”
