"We went here last night for a meal with friends. The whole place was really beautiful, so nicely designed the interior was beautiful. We were welcomed and made to feel very relaxed. The staff taking our orders and bringing our food were all very friendly and helpful. The food was really delicious, and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend going here"

"I don’t normally leave reviews, but felt that the staff deserved it. We were bought a voucher as a gift and booked a room on top as a treat. From the moment we walked in we received excellent customer service, from the front of house team, to the bar staff and table staff. The room was lovely, clean, really comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and again, lovely service from a young team. I would recommend a trip here to anyone asking."

"Friends and I went in for afternoon tea. Staff were very helpful and attentive. The portions of savoury, scones and cakes were very generous, delicious and followed by more than ample individual trifles. A lovely afternoon with friends made even better by the quality of food and thoughtful service. Would highly recommend thank you"

"No stay just food...! Waited 5 minutes to be seated on a Wednesday night, 15 minutes to get a drinks order (not busy and only 2 of us) Ordered drinks and food at the same time... meals came looked amazing .. found plastic in my seafood linguine... didn't make a fuss advised at the end of the meal as enjoyed it besides the big bit of plastic... advised the Waitress who was very attentive about it but then speaking to the chef "the butcher delivers the fish mix frozen" ... I never known a butcher to deliver fish but maybe if they deal in frozen! Never had a problem here before but definitely won't be rushing back after our visit."

"I booked a single person room and it was very good. Not particularly large but it had all the amenities you could want including a coffee machine. I also ate in the restaurant and was more than happy with the food. The only downside was the room was at the front and was noisy once the traffic started. You can book direct and get a good price. Congleton is also a pretty town and clean."
