"Subject: Disappointing Experience with Roses - Unfair Treatment I recently had a highly frustrating experience with Roses, specifically regarding the purchase of tabletops. Despite completing the transaction on Saturday before 1:15 pm and having our information recorded, we were informed on Monday by Russ that our tables were sold to another customer later that same day. Russ admitted to forgetting to tag the tables as sold during our purchase, leading to the confusion. Upon investigating in person, we found the tagged tables with another customer's invoice number and a timestamp of 1:22 pm. Our purchase was between 1:00 - 1:15 pm, clearly indicating we secured the tables first. While our invoice lacked the timestamp that the tagged invoice had, we are certain of our purchase time and the fact that we were the first to purchase, as the other customer’s invoice number was larger than ours, indicating their transaction came after ours. Additionally, we had an appointment scheduled at 1:30 pm in Northwest Portland, a 10-15 minute drive from Roses. Therefore, we made the purchase before 1:22 pm (the other customers purchase time). Despite presenting this evidence to the owner, the decision was made to give the tables to the other customers. This blatant disregard for the chronology of transactions and customer loyalty is unacceptable. Such practices would be deemed unacceptable in any circumstance, and it's disheartening that Roses failed to rectify the situation. The principle of honoring the first purchase should be paramount in any business, and Roses' decision to overlook this principle is deeply disappointing. Prospective customers should be cautious when dealing with Roses, as their commitment to fairness and customer satisfaction appears to be lacking."

"I’m a driver of an 18 wheeler and I delivered to Rose’s. First thing I noticed was how accommodating the personnel were. It’s not the easiest place to get to. And backing can be problematic. With that said, the people I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. I backed in and was unloaded in less than an hour! When coming here, just go slow and keep your head on a swivel and look. It’s actually not as bad as it first looks. If I needed restaurant equipment, this is where I would come. The people here are outstanding!"

"We went in on a Saturday looking for a microwave that Edwin had told us about at length the day before. Everyone greeted us and an employee who saw me asked if I needed help finding something. He was excellent in explaining all about the microwave, which one he used, at home and why. Changed our minds. And yes they helped us out to the car and put it in for us. They even adjusted the price for us. They really knew all about customer service and were enjoying themselves. I try to give employees/stores the benefit of the doubt these days as finding employees since COVID has been very hard on companies. And if staff is busy with other customers you just have to be PATIENT. Great selection of everything"

"My husband and I came in here specifically to look at stainless steel tables and just started looking around. Max helped us and filled us in on table options. He was very kind and helpful, and everyone else working seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Though we didn't end up buying a table we walked away with a good knife at a great price, and hope to be back when it's time to get a new table. Even if you're just looking around, this place is super fun! Thank you!"
