"We always try to shop at our local businesses before going to big box stores, but goodwill alone can't carry the weight of a sale, especially one as big as an appliance. There were so many disappointments. Had there been less, I probably wouldn't even write a review. I give 1 star for the showroom. Another star is for the installer. Although he cracked the wood board under our countertop and did a terrible job of hiding it with a piece of silver tape, at least he was very nice. Our sales person was more than happy to make the sale, and was very helpful leading up to our purchase. After that, he was totally unresponsive and of sour disposition. We called and emailed him about 4 weeks after our purchase to ask for an ETA on delivery. Absolutely no response. Standard TV & Appliance charges a flat fee of $250 for delivery, installation, and removal. Although we had removed our old dishwasher ourselves we still had to pay the $250. And, the flat fee also doesn't cover everything. After the delivery guy came, he let us know that we had to install a plug outlet and reconfigure the plumbing to a dual valve for the water inlet before he would install, thereby requiring a second trip back after we had taken care of those things. The guy at the hardware store was flabbergasted that a dual valve was required on dishwasher installation when so many are ok with water diverter. When I suggested to the sales person that it would be helpful to notify customers what set up they needed so that those changes that could be handled before the delivery person comes, so that they don't have to come twice, his response was infuriating. Instead of just saying "oh, thank you for the feedback, I'm sorry for the inconvenience", he decided the best course of action was to dourly explain to me all the reasons why that was impossible. Terrible salesmanship. He didn't even need to do a single thing with my feedback, he just needed to respond empathetically. And then, when they finally came back to install our dishwasher, they were doing things so quickly that they didn't drill a pilot hole, cracked our wood boards as a result, and put a piece of silver tape over it to disguise it. After they made the first crack, you would think they would try to do the second the right way, but nope. We really could have installed this ourselves but didn't want to pay the $250 for just delivery, and now we have damage to our kitchen cabinetry. All in all, not worth it. And to be fair, our first fridge purchase from here was OK. My aim here isn't to get specific employees in trouble, it's really in hopes that management will better train all their employees and help give future consumers a better shopping experience than what we had."
