The Rear Window Restaurant
● Closed“One of the best sunday roasts I've had in a restaurant, perfect potatoes, big fluffy yorkshire puddings and amazing gravy. Their cocktails were great, with a big, interesting selection. We went with our toddler and they were really welcoming and engaging with her. They kindly did a kids roast for us (it wasnt on the menu). There is a 2 hour limit on tables, which is a bit tight if you want a leisurely lunch, but they extended ours slightly for us. Food came out of the kitchen very quickly. We will be back without a doubt”

The New London
● Closed“What a lovely venue. Delicious and punchy cocktails, a genuine welcome from all staff and top class food. Well worth the price, beautifully presented and compliments to the chef. Next time I'll starve myself so I can sample 3 courses! A lovely birthday treat, an asset to Chelmsford.”

La Dame de Pic London
● Closed“Absolutely loved our lunch there. I've done a few of the 3 Michelin stars in London and I think La Dame de Pic is as good as those (if not better than some of them) even though it is a 2 stars. The whole experience was a delight from taste to presentation, including a very attentive service and a lovely setting/atmosphere.”

Bold Cafe & Restaurant
● Open20 York Rise, London NW5 1ST, United Kingdom“Friendly staff, delicious food and a warm atmosphere. This cafe has a special place in my heart as it is the cafe where Fleabag was filmed. I had a breakfast here and the avocado and cheese was delicious. The sourdough bread was great on its own. I would definitely recommend!”

Heart of Balham - HOB
● Open113 Balham High Road, London SW12 9AP, United Kingdom“I really don't understand how this place doesn't have a higher rating. Friendly service with nothing too much trouble. Delicious and fresh food - superb breakfast with many options. My only minor criticism is the waitress hanging around waiting to take plates / check in on your eating. This place is a gem and I look forward to going back.”

Cafe 338 London
● Open338 Bethnal Green Road, London E2 0AG, United Kingdom“Classic English cafe. The food and service are great. You might share a table with strangers. Really strong English breakfasts and they have some Mediterranean options too. Plus prices are excellent for London. There is usually a line at busy times like Sunday mornings you will definitely need to wait but they have a lot of tables so the wait isn't too bad.”

Citadines Apart'hotel Islington London
● Open“One of my rare 5-star reviews :-P. Check-in: Uncomplicated, and pleasant, with Peter explaining facilities available. Room: Wow. Large, spacious (by London standards), clean, and clean modern decor. Small functional kitchenette with microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Nespresso machine, tea, cookies, UHT milk. Bathroom equally spacious, with adjustable height shower (no rainfall shower, if that matters to you). Small settee at the end of the bedto stretch out and relax. Comfortable bed, with reading lights. Small table with chairs, for a quick bite to eat. Room relatively quiet, very little noise intrusion from outside, occasional noise from corridor, but all in all, pretty quiet. Facilities: Breakfast (7-11 weekdays) served at lobby lounge. Continental and simple; best to inspect prior to purchase to decide value for money. Lounge was clean and open to guests, with 24/7 coffee/tea available. Staff: Friendly throughout. Room wasn't serviced for 2 night stay, but that was OK with me. Location: A little bit of a walk from Underground or Overground station (15 mins brisk walk), but buses available. Lots to eat in the vicinity, looks like quite a thriving and mid-scale neighborhood. 10 mins brisk walk to the British Design Centre. (Minor) Grouses: No shower gel provided (but shampoo, tiny bar of soap and body lotion). More eco approach would be to provide dispensers for the above, rather than single use plastics. Detergent and sponge provided for kitchenette, but no dishcloth or disposable wipe (paper towels provided, though!) Summary: Modern, spacious, comfortable. Would stay again, in a shot!”

Staycity Aparthotels Deptford Bridge (Greenwich, London)
● Open“Location was great for getting to and from Greenwich. Getting back into Central London was also easy (lots of public transport options) Room was great. Had everything we needed for a comfortable couple of nights. Loved the little fully equipped kitchenette. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Reception was really busy when we arrived (and housekeeping were struggling to turn rooms around so there were people waiting) however, I'd checked in on line before travelling and our room was ready and waiting (so would definitely recommend acting on the check in email before arriving). Reception staff were brilliant (it was clearly very busy but they were so polite). Megan was extremely helpful and friendly. Reception is staffed 24 hours and doors lock late evening so it felt really safe and secure (for two female guests) . Area is fine, co-op across the road, right next to the DLR and bus stops outside. We walked to and from Greenwich (takes 20-25 minutes. 6-7 minute walk to New Cross railway station too. Would definitely use Staycity again whether Deptford Bridge or other location.”

London Fencing Club
● Closed“I joined the club after lockdown and it's hands down the only sporty activity I've managed to keep up with regularly, over a year now (and I really hate going to the gym generally)! It's a great club for beginners, as you get to fence other inexperienced fencers, as well as people with more than 10-15 years of experience who will give you advice and guidance. The private lessons are also nice and the coaches have different teaching styles, so you can learn various skills from all of them. It's a great place if you're new to London and are looking to also enrich your social life, while getting some intense cardio done!”

Blacklock Restaurant Covent Garden
● Closed“Excellent experience. Came around 8pm, place was very busy, I suggest making a reservation. Ordered 2 beers which came in frozen glassware, the famous "all-in mixed chops", sweet potatoes, pigs head on toast (highly recommend!!!), Broccoli salad and the grand finale: grandma's cheesecake. Everything was absolutely delicious. A word about the service: we had the Italian man (really sorry for not remembering your name!) serving our table, and he was exceptional, props to you my guy.”
