"Truly a step back in time. The Junior suite was large and appointed with antique furniture and paintings, and a very comfortable bed. The whole place gives the sense of living in an English country House in a quiet spot in Soho, just a half block away from all the action."

"We loved our stay here and can’t wait to return. The staff gave us a warm welcome and the hotel itself is beautifully decorated to give a cosy, peaceful vibe. We enjoyed a post-dinner drink in one of the lounge areas and loved the ‘honesty bar’ system which made us feel so at home. Breakfast was simple to order to the room and we found that there was a great selection on the menu. It was delicious and arrived beautifully presented. The staff also went above and beyond when I left a pair of earrings in the room after check out, posting them safely to our home. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel!"

"Loved the vibe! The rooms were very small and the beds not the comfiest, but those were the only drawbacks. The location is excellent and we loved the claw foot bathtub in our room. Additionally, the gin bar is really fun and the selection of books they have to offer is extensive."

"An unexpected unique oasis in the hustle and party of Soho. I love the character and history of the building and the uniqueness that each room has. We had an interior facing room so that might have helped but it was so comfortable for such a small room. Be aware that some en suites will just have a bath with detachable shower head, but that wasn't an issue for us. There are a few downstairs common rooms with a self-serve bar, library, and lounge area. The staff are numerous and wonderfully friendly and helpful! Very highly recommended and will likely be back."

"What a great hotel. Stayed in the Duke of Monmouth. What a fabulous suite. Service from staff was first class. A real gem. Local to theatre land. Plenty of bars and restaurants. Glad to see a bigger breakfast choice. Stuck with the Bacon "roll" which was certainly big enough to tied you over until afternoon tea! Nice little selection of beer in the mini bar and honesty bar in the lounge."
