“We were meant to go here a couple of years ago then the pandemic hit so it got delayed. It was tricky to book as it's so popular but we got a table for lunch and decided to each have a different tasting menu so we could try everything on offer. The service was brilliant, the food was sublime. The offer of a cheese course before the desserts was very welcome, and the selection of cheeses was great.”

“Superb experience. We had the pleasure of seeing the Birmingham Royal Ballet's production of Don Quixote for my nans 80th birthday and we all enjoyed it immensely. From the dancers, set, costume and orchestra, it was all wonderful. The theatre itself was great. Very easy to get to.The only niggle would the be ladies toilets. There was a queue every time and it would be great if they had more toilets to reduce queues. But that's an absolute tiny niggle because the queue moved quickly. All in all, a fabulous experience.”

As soon as I arrived I asked if I could use the internet as I needed to work and take work calls and immediately the staff helped me get this with no problems and a friendly welcoming attitude. The breakfast/ food I ordered was top quality. Chips were all crispy, eggs were sunny side up and perfectly cooked, sausage and bacon was delicious and hash browns and beans superb. I felt really good after my experience here and was able to take my work calls and use internet with no network issues. The internet speed is fast and reliable. I shook hands with the staff after leaving and had a smile on my face for the remainder of the day. Excellent place highly recommend to have breakfast/ eat there.”

“The Wells Tavern is one of Hampstead's best gastro pubs offering all that is needed to be a neighbourhood favourite including a great location, outside seating with heaters and large canopies, good service, tasty food and two floors offering formal and informal dinning. The prices are on the high end when compared to other areas of town, but it is part of the "Hampstead premium". The ground floor is a traditional bar with tables, sofas and all around dog friendliness. The food menu includes plates of chorizo with red pepper and gherkins, cod fishcakes, burgers and grilled tuna steak. Tables outside are at a premium when the sun shines. The upstairs is made up of three small dining rooms, with a more formal menu and setting. The scallops (£14.50) part of the starter menu where fresh and full of flavour, while the ribeye steak (£29.50) was tasty. The portion of chips could be larger but they were perfectly cooked. The duck leg (£19.85) was cooked perfectly.A great spot for drinks, a quick bite to eat or a more formal meal if you do not mind the premium prices.”

“Had my birthday celebrations for a Sunday lunch with friends. We were 20 and hire the private room upstairs. Beautiful pub on the side of Camberwell road. The food was 5stars, very good and juicy roasts and starters. Great service received on the day, and also from Monica the manger that has helped me prior the day. Definitely recommend to pop in for a beer if you are in the area or as place to organizing special meals.”

“What a great afternoon we had with 5 kids and food was great limited menu due to chef being on paternity leave but decided to stay for lunch it was amazing. Staff are exactly what you you want from a pub very accommodating and very friendly, Bromley and Rob you made our Sunday afternoon it was so lovely to talk to you and thank you so much for interacting with our kids we will defo be back next Sunday and for 3rd of march xx”

“Loved the food, it was very authentic and packed a lot of layers of flavour. The green curry was hot but not too spicy for me. Freshly made prawn crackers were brilliant. Mango sticky rice was also great. It's got a wonderful vibe and friendly staff. Would highly recommend!!”

“I don't even know where to start! My sister-in-law had her wedding dress designed and made by Elaine and recommended her to me when I couldn't find my perfect outfit for my own big day. I honestly can't shout loudly enough about how great Elaine is. I walked into her shop with some fabric and a rough idea of a jumpsuit I wanted, and when I tell you I felt like I knew this woman my entire life, I mean it. I was greeted by the most friendly, charismatic and talented dressmaker! (Plus an adorable little furry friend, Bonnie) In just a two weeks Elaine made me a toile (a test) of the jumpsuit, made sure everything was perfect before going on to do the final outfit in my chosen fabric and it is honestly the most flattering item I've ever tried on (I had to buy this too). The whole process was zero stress and I knew I was in excellent hands. Her communication and precision was impeccable: She dropped by my house to make sure I was happy with the lining she had chosen and just everything about Elaine's process is so hands on, accommodating and friendly. She just really wants you to be happy! I wasn't the slightest bit worried or nervous when I arrived back at her shop just a few weeks later to try on the finished jumpsuit. It fit perfectly and we were both just as excited that the vision had come to life. I don't know what I would have done without her! I know this isn't my last purchase from Elaine and I can't wait to get new garments made by her. Her talent and love for the craft really speaks for itself, but honestly she's just great all round! She did everything possible to make me happy, comfortable and covid safe. If you're umming and ahing about where to get your wedding dress, jumpsuit or just the most flattering day to day clothing look no further. Elaine is an incredible designer, seamstress and awesome woman! I was so excited to show Elaine our wedding photos and share how everyone at the wedding was just as in love with the jumpsuit as we were. I honestly wouldn't change anything about the process or the outfit. She made the whole thing seamless and enjoyable (plus she saved my husband a headache or two)! Thank you Elaine!”
