“I had a large and annoying spider vein under my eye that I wanted rid of. Having never undergone any sort of blemish removal before I was quite apprehensive of what it might involve. I contacted Helene from York Laser Aesthetics who chatted to me on the phone for some time, talking through my options and giving me in-depth detail about what each procedure would involve as well as what would happen after the procedure. Helene really put me at ease and booked me in for short-wave diathermy. Helene’s clinic is fantastic (and so is Helene!). When I arrived for my procedure, I again felt at ease, Helene talked me through the process once more before carrying out short-wave diathermy on my annoying spider vein. It was quick and was actually a lot more pleasant than I was expecting. Right through the procedure Helene reassured me and gave me opportunities to take a break. I’m really pleased with the immediate results (which are only going to get better with time as I allow the area to heal), Helene is clearly extremely skilled and experienced in this field but she also cares a great deal. I’m so pleased I went through with it – Helene really is a super star.”

“Got 2 hair removal laser sessions with Aglaia. She is very accommodating and comforting. The results yet are amazing. Hair growth is delayed and softer. Hair falls out by itself after the session leaving the skin super soft. Highly recommended especially for skin of colour.”

I tried the large private hospitals in York, simply because I've used them before for similar, but this time their customer service people either didn't read my query properly, or didn't respond to me at all. After Googling for alternatives, I found Stonegate Medical Clinic's website; they dealt with my query within hours, and booked me an appointment for the same week. I mentioned, when booking, that I'm terrible with blood tests (my veins don't like them), and the receptionist kindly informed the doctor about this, and gave me an extra-long appointment. On the day, the doctor was warm and friendly; she put me at ease (as much as possible, given I have 'white coat syndrome'), and she managed to get some blood out of me. “Fantastic vets, I’ve never had a bad experience here. The receptionists, vets and nurses are always so welcoming, friendly and polite and my dogs actually enjoy going to the vets! They always take the time to make a fuss over them so I always know they’re in the best hands. Especially with Katie, she has done so much for one of my dogs and he always enjoys seeing her, and for that I’ll always be grateful. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Long post Alert!! Maternity Department: A shout out to pregnancy and labour/delivery team for their work!! At 1st I never knew there was an early preg unit which comes in action when there is a situation. Throughout the pregnancy I was monitored continously ex: doing US as early as 6 weeks to finding a HB at 8 weeks , detecting GD as early as 13 weeks and regularly following up with nick and alex, to always keeping a track for my bp before it turns to pre-eclampsia/GIH, thankfully my GIH was found at 37weeks. As soon as it was detected they admitted me in hospital to start with correct dose!! Also they always checked for pre-eclam thankfully I was free from it! Doctors and nurses from antenatal team!! Thanks! Labour and delivery team : As a regular visitor of triage and then labour team I am grateful to you. Midwifes and doctors you all are the unsung heroes. I could get up within few hours post a complicated Csec is all because of you all and then get discharged the next day post surgery is all your efforts(Jess ❤️ being one of them)! Even when no1 is allowed post visiting hours the midwifes were there in every ring to help me with baby to taking care of my baby to help me sleep for few hours! Post reaching home, I was started with next set of midwifes who monitored me and my baby till the time everything was ALL good to go… 25days I was under their care till completely discharged!! Whoever is planning or thinking whether to go to NHS or elsewhere, I would say it is the safest place you could be!! You would be heard and cared with a smile even when they work continously without the sign of tiredness. Thank you NHS❤️❤️”
