“We have been to Abbey Vetinary Group in Chellaston since 2003. They have provided all services, great and small, for our cat and dog over the years. Everyone from receptionists, nurses and vets are always very caring, empathetic and compassionate. Most recently, vet Nick removed a cyst from our mature dog's eye. The stitches were very neat, and our dog has made a full recovery with no complications. If you have to claim on pet insurance, they help with that process too. I highly recommend them and would not take my pets anywhere else. Thanks to vets Catherine, Nick, Rachel and the team, well done :-)”

“Great vets, genuinely lovely people! First visit today for my Rottie’s boosters, they were running a little behind due to to a couple of emergencies that had come in but they were so apologetic and kept me updated. I was even offered a hot drink and Otto was spoilt with some treats. So glad I found this place! The reception staff are so friendly and the vet we saw was very patient with my over excited pooch. Plus…loads of parking on site!”

“Glenthorne is the perfect place for our dog who doesn't like the vets! There is ample parking at the rear, with a large grassy area where she can de-stress before and after her appointment. The reception area has well spaced chairs so that she doesn't have to wait close to other animals. The vets will examine her on the floor where possible which is much appreciated, and keep her appointments as short as they can. Highly recommended.”

“Went with my dog to see A neurologist, in regards to whether he had epilepsy or if there was something else going on. The vet that seen us was Emma Suiter who was fantastic. She listened to every word we said, answerd every question and even answerd the stupid ones. Emma was pleasant cortious and explained everything to us. Emma was also polite enough to ask us if a young trainee vet who was also very polite could join us before we started. Emma also made sure that Kaiser was comfortable aswell letting him roam around the room until he settled down. We left with such a relief, knowing that he had had the best treatment possible, with Emma offering to let us email or phone if we had any concerns in the future.”

“Very happy with the service that I received when I had to rush my dog down to vets now in derby on a Saturday night in September of when my dog had eaten a fish hook. Yes it was more expensive due to it being a weekend but it got my dog sorted as we found out where abouts the fish hook was located in my dogs body and we had to be referred to another vets but overall the process of everything was so smooth. Would definitely recommend!”

“We’ve been using Saint Leonard Vet Centre in Allestree since we had our Dog 4 years ago, Karl and his team have been fantastic supporting our dog with Grass Allergies, (and our cat, who loses a few fights). Maraide, Louise and the whole team are so friendly, they make you feel at home the moment you walk through the door. More recently our second dog has been diagnosed with epilepsy, Sam has taken the time to explain and reassure us, educating us on all treatment options. We couldn’t wish for a more person/dog centred approach to all care that we’ve received.
