White House Napa Valley Inn

"My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 days to visit some friends before the holidays. It was bumpy from checkin. We paid $35 for early check in and when we arrived at 2pm, after we had received a text that the room was ready, no one was even around to let us in. We waited around, confused, for 45 minutes until someone did finally let us into a room. I did receive a refund of the $35, though. The room itself was cute but smelled strongly of BO. We had reserved a room on the 2nd floor, but were put on the ground floor instead. The bed was average. I would have asked to move, but again, there was no one to be found. I also let them know I had celiacs so couldn’t have gluten, but there was nothing I could eat at breakfast except fruit. Granted, they didn’t promise to accommodate my diet, but I found it odd that they would ask about it and then do nothing. Last, when we checked out, no one was there again. I stood around for 30 minutes, ringing the bell and no one came. I called the number they provided guests with In case they need help and no one answered. So I left a note and we left. We survived but it was by no means pleasant. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Honestly my impression is that this is an issue with management. The folks when they were around were very friendly. They were just busy because they are understaffed. I hope management reads this and hires some additional people."

"I was in search of a winter getaway, peaceful and warm: a cozy couch, fireplace, and hot drinks. The feeling is indescribable when one finds what one wants. What a treasure, the White House Napa Valley Inn! Wine and charcuterie every evening, coffee and tea throughout the day, and breakfast every morning – all served with kindness. I realized, sometimes I do not need to need to travel across the world. Excited to return, especially for future escapes with friends!"

"I booked a room here in January 2023 for my anniversary in December 2023. I paid $965 up front. On September 30th, 2023 I needed to cancel the reservation. I have yet to see my refund. The first manager I spoke to who said he would handle the situation is no longer there. His replacement just keeps telling me that their HQ is looking into it. Their HQ is Aimbridge Hospitality. This is all very unfair and stressful. From now on, I will do my research before staying anywhere and will stay far, far away from any establishment run by Aimbridge Hospitality."

"Perfect place for a weekend get away or to host an event! The White House Inn is the perfect place to stay in Napa. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and cozy. The complimentary breakfast was a great way to start the day (and prepare us for the wine ahead)! The location is fantastic, it was easy to walk into town and meet friends for dinner. The entertaining spaces are unique - multiple areas and experiences that will wow whoever you are trying to impress. I look forward to hosting an event here in the near future. Highly recommend and cant wait to go back!"

"We just had an incredible stay at the White House Inn in Napa! This Victorian-style mansion was built in 1886, they are a boutique hotel with 17 rooms. We were so fortunate they were able to accommodate us. It's no wonder why it was named one of Architectural Digest's 15 Favorite Wine Country Boutique Hotels. We were greeted by the General Manager Trey, he was so welcoming, helpful, and well-acquainted with the rich story of the hotel. Trey gave us a guided tour of the hotel and was so knowledgeable about the history of this historical landmark. The hotel's location was convenient, allowing us to easily explore the charming surroundings. The personalized service provided by the staff truly made us feel like valued guests but more so like family. Every team member was incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying our stay. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful start to each day, with a variety of delicious options. In the evening, they offer a hosted wine hour experience which was a nice touch. Trey mentioned that the hotel will be going through some renovations in the future. We can't wait to return to the White House Inn for another unforgettable experience."
