"The techs are inconsistent here. A year ago, I had an MRI on my neck and was able to leave my titanium earring in as long as it didn’t pull towards the hand magnet they have. It didn’t, so they had no issue putting me in the machine. I had no issues during or after the procedure. Move forward to a few months ago and I made an appointment for a new MRI on my back. I disclosed on the phone about my earring and that I had no issues last time, and the rep said it won’t be an issue. The day before my appointment, I was called to reschedule because the tech was sick. No problem, we rescheduled. Then I went to the next appointment and the place was closed. I called customer service and left a message. They called back and said they “didn’t have access to their systems” and were closed until the systems were back up. Sounds like ransomware to me, so ok. I called back several times to see if they were rescheduling yet and finally after 4-5 weeks they rescheduled me. I got another call to reschedule again after this one. Finally my appointment day came and I happily drove the 30 minutes to get there. I was greeted nicely, walked to the machine and I again mentioned my earring. The tech’s face turned very angry and told me I cant have it. I explained I had this done with the exact earring in last year and now I had titanium in my neck as well so I’m not sure what the issue is. The tech said it was at their discretion to scan with titanium jewelry and she didn’t do that. I explained again, I’ve already been in this exact machine with this exact earring with a different tech and nothing happened. I actually have titanium in my body I can’t remove now so what’s the difference? She wrote up this huge “liability removal” clause saying I refused to remove the jewelry and she wouldn’t scan me unless I signed it. Well ok, I’ll sign it but I’m not refusing. I literally can’t because I have to go to a piercing shop to have it removed. Had I known she was going to have a meltdown, I would have made the appointment to remove them ahead of time. I did get the scan done with her glaring at me and she was really rude the entire time, throwing things around and avoiding eye contact. This was the worst behavior by a professional I’ve seen in a long time. Maybe the policies shouldn’t be “at the techs discretion”. Make it ok or not. But either way, be consistent so return patients don’t get different treatment based on who is there that day."
"Positive, they were able to get me in quickly for an mri that I needed desperately. Negative, the front desk receptionist was so rude. I walked in, and she tried to tell my husband to walk away. I said no thanks, I would rather him stay with me (for medical reasons, and so he can know what’s going on as well) and she kept saying it was for privacy. But I was the only patient? He’s my husband, as I told her. I have a right to keep him with me until it’s time for the scan. There’s no reason for “privacy”. Also, they absolutely had their wires crossed. I told them I would be coming in with my port accessed, and they were completely unprepared and were freaking out and had to call their supervisor even after I told them it was no problem for me to just deaccess myself. I even told them the way they were speaking to me made me uncomfortable (it was the time of their voices) and they dug their heels in more. Good for a last minute scan, bad for compassion and communication."
"Absolutely the most unprofessional place I've dealt with in the medical field by far,I'm scheduled for an MRI of my brain for possibly an aneurysm and the office waits 2 weeks to call me 48 hours before my appointment to tell me they forgot to tell me I need a orbital xray or they can't do my MRI,if I need to reschedule it's a month out for appointment,so I get to sit and wonder about my health because of their mistakes!! The woman I talked to was the rudest receptionist I have ever talked to,save your money and piece of mind and go elsewhere!!"
"Wow.....receptionist Pat was one of the rudest people with whom I've ever dealt. I will never use their services again. At my appointment time, no one was at the front desk, or anywhere in the building. I tried calling, no one would answer. I finally walked outside to their standing mobile after 10 minutes under the direction of the maintenance man, and Pat wanted to argue with me about a sign on her desk telling patients to come outside. She was incredibly disrespectful. When I told her she was being rude she argued about that as well. Save yourself the time and go elsewhere."
"Overall the staff were professional and courteous, so the MRI wasn't bad. My complaint is that the patient is required to wear a mask during the MRI. I believe 100% in masks in medical facilities even with Covid slowing down. I can even accept wearing one as you get positioned for the MRI. Wearing one INSIDE the machine is stupid. The techician is in her own separate little room, with a door I think. An MRI machine can be stressful enough, but wearing a mask while in a tight tin can makes it VERY hard to breathe for 45 minutes. It is unreasonable in my opinion."
