"Aultman emergency might be open 24 hr but it don't mean 24 hr services. Came in throwing up. They took some vitals and stuck me in a drafty cold hall way. Here I sit still sick and staff went home. Not even a decent waiting room. Hallway lined with sick people trying to stay warm. Now 3:00 am been here since 10:00 pm yippee. I waited so long that by the time I was called my fever had broke I had stopped throwing up and the swelling in my cellulitis leg had gone down. Amazing what 12 hrs in a emergency room hall way can do"

"NEGATIVE 5 stars. Went to the ER approximately 12:15am on Feb. 10, 2024. Husband gets me a wheelchair as walking on my own had become unbearable. Triage time was good. It wasn't until approximately 4:00am that I was called back. Seen a Physician Assistant quickly. She recommended a shot for pain and mentioned MRI. Shot was given quickly as was a warm blanket. Sent back to ER waiting room. At approximately 8:30am I was called back to a room. A LPN came in quickly, asked me some questions but did not return, nor ask me if I needed anything i.e. water, ice chips and/or fresh blanket. Doctor finally showed up at approximately 9:30am. He did his thing, questions, brief examination. Ordered a shot for pain, 2 scripts, 2 days off work. I asked about the MRI that Physician Assistant mentioned, and was told that's a costly test and won't be done (Insurance won't allow it until at least therapy is done first). He apologized for the wait. The LPN showed back up at approximately 10:30am to give me the shot for pain. I finally left at approximately 11:00am. FYI, I was there after suffering for close to a month from extreme hip pain that my family doctor was aware of via x-ray then sent to Orthopedic, more x-rays (told I have some arthritis, given steroids & told to schedule therapy, couldn't get a therapy appointment for week and half out). Steroids did not help my pain. Suffered another week. I couldn't take the pain any longer so off to the ER we went. After witnessing 2 elderly people in hospital gowns and wheelchairs being put back in waiting room and left for hours literally urinate on the waiting room floor, a nurse taking towels to come out to do a quick sop up, at NO time did a porter come out to mop the floor properly.I needed to use the ladies room but I didn't dare after seeing no one come out to mop the floor lord only knows when the public restroom was cleaned last. Also, after speaking with a woman at approximately 3:45am she told us she had been there with her elderly mother who came in with A-Fib at 8:pm on Feb. 9, 2024 (we seen her waiting with her mother also in a hospital gowns and wheelchair). She had to call her husband to come and relieve her as she was exhausted from waiting. I also witnessed legit homeless people being brought in and out for their CT scans (I believe these tests are also expensive). Let's assume since the Medicaid picks up the tab those expensive tests are A OKAY! Getting expensive tests for tax pay citizens is off the table until the medical insurance game is played! I bet his hospital thinks I'm going to pay my EXTREMELY HIGH bill in a timely fashion, boy are they in for a surprise! I can't wait for the standard generic response that I will get on this review!"

"These docs and nurses smoke and joke more than anything else at this place. Act like it's still the big covid pandemic when there were hundreds of people laying all over the place. Can't get 40 people in and out reasonably. Took 8 hours. Need to get there act together. Also overheard the over paid doctors discussing about their 4 hr lunch break instead of helping triage or something!"

"My husband came up here for chest pain they took him back gave him and X-ray and brought him back out into the waiting room to sit while he was in pain. The waiting room was filled and they claim to have no beds! Y’all built this big nice hospital to not have no beds in the emergency room department. It was people in there that have been waiting for 8-9 hours there is no way this can be cool. As a community we need to stand up and do something about there system they have. It’s a shame and y’all need to fix the wait time for people that’s coming in the emergency room! They even got recliners you can sit in while you wait for hours to be seen!!! Never coming here again I’ll go to alliance or Akron before Aultman."

"My wife and I went to this hospital because she was having serious medical problems. And it was the worst experience of our lives. Let me just start by how disgusting and trash covered this hospital was. Im almost certain I will get sick in the coming days. It's just awful. My wife and I got there at 7pm and got checked in. We proceeded to wait an hour and a half to get called back where they put us in a triage room and told us they were gonna do her labs and X-rays and we would wait in that room until one opened up (which is something u wait to do until u have a room). They did all that and then kicked us back out into the waiting area after waiting another hour for them to come do testing. And we proceeded to sit in the waiting room until 2 IN THE MORNING. When we asked how much longer it was going to be for a room they said there was still people waiting in hallways that came in on ambulances at 2pm THAT DAY. IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE. So we ended up just walking out. If you need a hospital do not go to this one. They will do more harm then good."
