"I wasn't sure what to expect of this place but I enjoyed my stay here. The room I stayed in was spotless even down to the appliances in the kitchen and washer/drier combo. Not sure if this is a regular thing here but the front desk had bear spray for guests to borrow which is a nice convenience. Great location too, just about all of downtown Juneau is within a twenty minute walk or you can cross the bridge to Douglas Island."
"This hotel always has super friendly, helpful staff. Spacious, nice rooms with kitchenette (washer/dryer, stove, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, pots, pans, cutlery, coffee-maker) and it's quiet, and comfortable. When we arrived the heat wasn't working, and the maintenance guy was there within minutes, and checked back later to make sure we were happy. Convenient (walking distance) to downtown, steps away from a beautiful waterfront boardwalk. Rooms haven't been updated for a while, but they're not showing signs of wear."
"Do not stay here. From the time we arrived, this two night stay has been a complete disaster. We booked this place in February for an August trip and when we showed up to check in on they had our reservation wrong and it took over 45 minutes and several phone calls to the management for the staff to get into the two rooms for two nights we had booked. Then they gave us keys to the wrong room or that did not work four times. FOUR. They did not have our reservation (did not even want our confirmation number) or any way to pull it up in their system. And forget about having your room serviced while you are here. We asked three times to have towels brought to our room and the trash emptied but it did not happen until my husband finally complained at the desk and then they told us everyone had left for the day. For the price and location (which is a 15 minute walk from downtown and no Ubers available) do yourself a favor and spend a little more to stay closer to downtown and at a place that actually will keep your reservation. What a disappointment."
"The Good: - Decent location far enough from downtown so you're not inundated with tourists, but still only a 10-minute walk from great restaurants, bars, and shops. - Spacious suites with a full kitchen and a washer/dryer. - HOT hot shower with enough pressure to take the paint off your car - Front desk staff was friendly and helpful - Free airport shuttle The Bad: - I'm pretty "hard of smelling," so not many smells bother me. But the cheap cleaning product used to clean the rooms was EXTREMELY strong. I had to open the windows in my room for a few hours to vent it. Had I been traveling with a partner sensitive to smells, it was bad enough that we would have had to change rooms. - Thin walls (could hear my neighbors having a normal-volume conversation and opening/closing doors and drawers) - Room was clean and full-featured, but extremely dated. Comforter and couch had rips and tears and definitely needed to be replaced. Overall, the good outweighed the bad for me, though. I'll stay there again!"
"This place is a total gem hidden inside a building that looks older than it feels inside. It's a 10 minute walk to town, but than small distance makes for quiet nights. Super friendly staff, airport shuttle, and a full kitchen and washer dryer-the place has more amenities than any of my housing in my 20's did."
