"I strongly recommend that while you are here, you read the walls. all over Kelli had framed letters written with love just like they were sent from my own grandma. This entire stay was so sweet and peaceful. To be honest, we hardly even realized we were sharing the home with strangers. Everyone was so quiet and respectful and clean! The price may seem like a lot at first, but when you get there, you understand why it has to be that way! I can only imagine how the money put forth in the summer is what's keeping this beautiful home clean and ready during the slow winter months of Juneau. This place is in the ideal location for active people and hikers. we put in 30 miles of hikeing while we were here staying in this beautiful valley home, and I hope you will come experience what we did! The room was exactly what we needed it to be clean with warm blankets and fresh towels! the bathrooms were awesome. The water got so hot so fast,which is ideal after a long day of hikeing!"

"If I could give the location more than 5 stars, I would. It is very close to the Mendenhall Glacier, the airport and a bus stop is to the left and right of the property. Depending on what brings you to Juneau, you don't necessarily need a car. I think Capitol Transit is the bus line that stops at those stops. Not sure, so you'd need to check. I know that it goes downtown because I seen the destination location of the bus. If you are needing just an overnight stay and want to be close to the airport, that is another plus. If you are into hiking, that too makes the location ideal. I rented a car because I had booked shore excursions for my kids in downtown. Grannies was also conveniently located to restaurants, gas stations and stores, but they weren't too close to be a nuisance. I wouldn't want to stay in downtown Juneau if I come back. I can get that excitement at home. I didn't spend a fortune to visit the last frontier for the crowds and noise all day. I was able to use the washer and dryer during my stay. Grannies House is very quaint. The other guests that I had encountered during my 6 day stay were all very nice. Kelli was very nice each time I spoke with her also. Overall, it is an excellent value for the money and I would recommend it."

"Grandmas house felt exactly like it's sounds. The beds were welcoming and soft along with clean. The kitchen allows for anything that you might need. I really felt at home and when I come back I will be looking to stay here again."
