"My husband and I (and our dog) have enjoyed living at Cambridge court! We’ve lived here for almost a year and a half, and it has been the perfect first home for us. The maintenance team here is so quick and so good at what they do, and we’ve always felt super cared for by them and the front office. Parking is actually kind of great since they have above and underground parking, we’ve never had problems finding spots, and it is super easy to get guest passes, although the monthly cost is a little crazy ($80 for 2 cars). The units are definitely smaller so if you had tons of stuff, it’d probably feel pretty cramped, but it’s definitely cozy. Overall, it’s been a great experience for us here! Some of the cons we’ve experienced have been related to bugs and mold. We had a temporary mold scare that almost made us leave (we didn’t want to risk our dog getting sick), but it was treated quickly and we haven’t found any mold since. We also have a big tree outside of our apartment which I think is the reason that we have found lots of bugs in our apartment (spiders, earwigs, boxelders) including a crazy meal-moth infestation in our cupboards that caused us to lose the majority of our food. The front office was super eager to help us (we love them), but when the pest control guy came, he just had a squirt bottle and sprayed in a few places, and the issue never actually went away until we deep cleaned our entire kitchen, threw out the rest of our food, and then put all of our new food into sturdy containers. Aside from that, it is pretty expensive overall considering the amount of space we have, but that’s everywhere right now, so it’s hard to find somewhere that is cheaper. Despite all that, we’ve still loved our time here!"
"I am giving two stars rather than one only because there was some problem solving. My experience here was short (only a year), but that was more than enough for me. I wish I had read the reviews about the black mold prior to moving here. I had been there about 3 months before black mold literally took over my entire kitchen due to poor piping management that was leaking down the wall from my upstairs neighbor. The pictures would make you sick. It was behind my cabinets and not visible until you looked under the kitchen sink. I was sick for MONTHS not knowing why and eventually required antibiotics due to black mold poisoning. Once I discovered it, I brought it up to management, who did reply by the next day and one of the workers came and looked at it, scrubbed it off the wall and must have just absolutely bombed it with bleach because when I got home the fumes made me cough as I was already sick from the mold. Luckily, I had my cat locked in my room otherwise who knows what the fumes would have done to him. It made my eyes burn. I looked under the sink and the mold was poorly scrubbed away, but I figured with how strong the bleach smell was that it would fix the problem. Nope. It came right back because they got rid of one spot. It was still all behind the cabinets which would require de-construction. It was a band aid on a very big problem. It didn't last long and so I let them know it was back and worse this time and it took some time before I finally got a reply about solving the issue. It wasn't until I mentioned how sick I was that they finally offered to move me to another unit. Though, when they gave me this offer they tried to tell me because it was an upgraded unit that my rent would be increased to match that. I am severely sick and just want to be able to breathe and they wanted to add $300 to my rent for a unit I didn't plan on having and the issue was not within my control. When I expressed this, they stated "well it's not our fault either". Due to other reviews being filled with this issue, it seems there is not a plan on actually fixing the problem. Just some patch work and calling it a day. They did let me move to an upgraded unit without increasing my rent AFTER I expressed that it was unfair to increase my rent for a problem not of my own causing. So, the two stars are for the fact that they at least allowed me to keep my current signed lease to apply to the new unit after some back and forth. I will say the manager is super nice and if I was late on payments she was forgiving or would work with me on a payment plan. She always asked that I just reach out in this case so they can be aware. I was not so prompt about that. Office hours were awful. It was difficult to get them in person as even if you went during posted office hours, you were met with a sign saying they were assisting other tenants. Rarely could you catch them in the office during those hours. You were better off communicating through email which could take a day or two, but at least you had something. The parking is AWFUL. Way too small for the amount of tenants, my car got dinged multiple times due to how tiny the spots are and there was no way to catch who did it. I had to climb through my passenger door on multiple occasions due to how close people would park to my car. Even with them enforcing a one car per apartment, it was still overcrowded, I had to park 2 miles away in a hotel parking lot some nights. So if you have more than 1 car, you are out of luck at this place and you live on a hope and a prayer that you can find parking on the street (almost always full at all times of the day, you are simply praying someone needs to run an errand) They also have some many "reserved" parking spots (I am guessing for the manager and several workers) and that is not an option for tenants. They posted a letter on my door saying they wouldn't renew my lease, though I was never planning on it. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you have no other option, it could be a last resort otherwise look elsewhere."
"We've lived here for a little over 2 years and have loved it! The apartments are very nice and are perfect for young married people who are students. Very central to everything you need. The management is quite professional and very quick when you're in need of help."
"I love these apartments, the managers are so friendly and there is a lot of space for the base price. The two main things I don’t like that made me give it 3 stars is the laundry is way too expensive. It costs us about $16 a week to do our laundry and is the main reason we are thinking about moving. If there was in-unit laundry or make it cheaper, I would live here for longer. In continuation, parking is a bit crazy here. We have 2 cars and pay $80 a month which is also expensive if you add the cost of laundry on top of it. If these two things were changed, we would recommend these apartments to everyone. Overall, a great starting apartment with the perfect amount of space for a couple."
"Great place for newly weds. The space was nice, all worked fine. Plenty space to find a spot to park. The only thing that I could complain is that there were some things that took too much time to be repaired like the fitness center or some stairs to the underground parking lot. The management made us feel listen and that they really cared for their resident’s satisfaction."
