"HOA doesn’t listen. Grounds have weeds through and through, those who own have to fix their own problems, and I have tried to contact without callbacks."
"We've lived here for years. Grounds are well kept, and neighbors are friendly."
"It's a lovely place, but like others have said the HOA is pretty awful. They made the buildings faulty to begin with and then charge people randomly for their own negligence. Not to mention them showing up and bothering people without warning, imposing rules, and really just trying to make money off of the people living here."
"CountryWoods is a beautiful place to live. The houses are nice and the lndscaping is nice. The only reason I give country woods one star is because the HOA sucks. 1- The HOA president doesn't even live in Utah. He lives in Las Vegas as far as I know. The HOA president's son owns the company that manages the HOA called Silverwood Management, and their friend (previous owner of Silverwood Managment), is the HOA treasurer. Tell me about conflict of interest here. 2- the HOA people raised HOA fees from $110.00 to $145.00 3- the HOA people is charging every home owner in CountryWoods $1,200. 00, on addition to the monthy HOA fee of $145.00. HOA made it clear they will sell our homes if we didn't pay this money, which they can do because utah laws give Hoas too much power. 4- The HOA People/management are using this mo way to rebuild 8 houses that had water damage. They are pretty much rebuilding the roofs, fixing beams in the structure, putting new dry walls and painting. however, there are units that have cracks in their foundation and the HOA made it clear, it's not their responsibilith to fix these other units. They said they eres going to vote on it and we haveof t hear back from them in months. 5- HOA people made it clear they dont have to fix the other units because the CCRs don't require them to do so. in conclusion, they will take your money to fix other people's homes, but there's no guarantee that your home will be fixed if you have problems, even if you gave your money to help others. The only way I would give CountryWoods more stars is if the HOA board was completely removed and they elect brand new people and a new management company is also chosen. The HOA board told peolle their homes would loose value if they didn't pay to fix these damaged units, but the real reason the homes are going to loose value is because people are going to find out about the terrible management here. No one wants to live in a place with horrible management like CountryWoods. This is the real reason homes are going to loose value. The HOA is the real problem that CountryWoods has."
"TERRIBLE management! I moved out after living there for a year, being told Pets were allowed (and seeing many pets on the complex properties) - when I moved in my roommate had a dog, and told me cats were allowed (only reason I even agreed to sign a lease and move in) - the building smelled from her dog peeing and pooping, yet I never said anything or complained, I fully intended to live there for a long time. Then a member of the HOA would appear inside of our apartment, without any warning, or notice, and would just let himself in. It scared me one time, because he wore a mask over his nose and mouth. They never gave notice any of the times, and after living there almost a full year, I was told that they had discovered animals on the property and that they werent allowed. So I had a friend take my cats for a couple of months while I tried to get a DR's note for them as emotional support animals. Once I got the approval from the DR's, I submitted the paperwork, and was told I could only have one of the cats as an emotional support animal, but not the other, even though I had notes for two. Also, the rules for having a support animal were ridiculous, they wanted to install a security camera, and I could not have the cats in any part of the house other than my room. I had to hold them at all times or have them on a leash, and I could not leave for more than 30 minutes without taking them with me. So, I decided to move out, I sold both rooms since my roommate had gotten married and was still stuck with the financial responsibility of paying rent, and then management decided to charge me and my roommate almost $2000 to replace and fix all kinds of things that did not need to be replaced or fixed. Painting was COMPLETELY fine when I lived there, there was nothing wrong with it, but they charged us $80 for that, Carpet cleaning was charged for, and then they decided to say that it smelled like CAT urine so they replaced the carpet....my cats have NEVER peed outside of their litter box, and the litter box was all the way in the laundry room!!!!! The smell was left over from the dogs that lived there before I even moved in! So they charged us to replace the carpet, which wasn't even either of our faults. Easy way for them to make almost $2000, and screw our credit. VERY Sketchy place to live, with terrible management, that is handled by VILLAGE AT THE PARKWAY right next door....how weird is that?"
