Discovery Inn 7200 South 380 West, Midvale, UT 84047

"Ok. I was so surprisingly impressed. My boyfriend, I and our small dog were traveling from CA to MO. During the trip we ended up with a flat tire and then got stuck in Salt Lake City due to severe weather alert. Funds were very tight. We needed a room. Called numerous hotels . There was virtually nothing that we could make work given our circumstances. We considered sleeping in the car. We called the Discovery and the gentlemen was very friendly. He allowed us to check in early for a small fee.(no where else would) The deposit was very affordable(other places said anywhere from $100-$200) They allowed our pet as well. The price was true to what it said online.(rare and one of the lowest) upon checking in I expected the room to not be that great. Once we arrived I was surprisingly impressed by the exterior. Once we checked in easily to our room I was so impresssed with the quality of the room! I totally recommend this place. I would definitely come back. Granted it’s not the nicest but given our circumstances it felt like the best hotel out there. 5 stars all day⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"I had an awful experience at this hotel. The room was dirty and their ice machine didn’t work. There were sketchy people throughout the parking lot, I was honestly scared to leave my car here. I only stayed one night and left as quickly as quickly as possible in the morning. I was told during check out that my deposit for the room was being refunded and to expect it in about a week. I’ve been calling every day since 10 business days after trying to get my deposit back and I still haven’t gotten it. The staff are very rude when I call saying things like “I’m busy call me back in 15 minutes” then when I call they don’t answer. I only stayed one night, left on time, and was told I was getting my deposit back so why I haven’t is a mystery. I would never recommended anyone to stay at this hotel so please be cautious when looking into it. There are so much cleaner and safer hotels in the area so please, I warn you to look into those option before you ever put yourself or your family in the position I’m in."

"I had to find a place to stay that was safe and quiet and clean .This hotel concerned me .But my mind has been changed the area is sketchy .But ,the rooms are very nice well kept by housekeeping .It is very quiet and I have not had one safety issue staying here.They have cameras they watch at the front desk .The front desk attendants are very professional and kind .It is close to WinCo and many other stores.Trax is within a short walking distance. Don't let the area discourage you from this establishment .It is well kept no bugs ,Good water pressure in the shower . Did I mention it is very quiet ."
