"******Future Edit***** 6APR2021- We were able to finally close after 2 months- not United's fault at all. VA loans take a long time, apparently. Ryan was behind us every step of the way- when the appraisal came back super close to the selling value because of some shingles and we worried about whether VA would approve it Ryan even called me one night and we discussed plans of attack in case we had to contest the appraisal value. We talked for almost an hour, during his evening, with his kids in the background, even. It was great, and a great stress reliever. Ultimately everything went through and we now own the house. Thanks, again, Ryan, and United Equity in general. You guys do a really great thing, and you take care of your people, not just your houses. ******JAN 2021******* We are in the process of closing right now on a home that we have rented from United Equity LLC for 4 yrs. At the end of the 3rd yr we weren't quite there yet, so we talked with them and we renewed the lease to purchase contract for another three years, with the home buyout slightly higher (obviously). A few months later I changed jobs from part-time to a full-time job with the Federal Government, and after 10 months we were in a position to use my VA Loan guarantee in conjunction with the money down we had accrued from the rental contract. This has actually put us in a position where, at closing, we are at NEGATIVE owing, i.e. the closing costs are covered. Their purchase contract is straight forward with no weasel wording, and not overly legalese, too. Ryan and Dan have always been great to work with on repairs, too- for the few things we had there were bigger than incidental we worked with them, and whoever had to fix something to get it done in a way and at a cost that worked out for everyone. They are always communicative via email or text. I have no problem with worrying about things because I know that they will respond. Ive rented on and off for years, and these guys are the first that I've ever felt truly comfortable with. The one thing that I wish is that they had a way to accept rent payments where I don't have to go to their bank to drop it off every month.It would be a lot easier if they were able to accept bill pay or transfer of some kind. Other than that, no complaints at all."
