"We had a decent dining experience on Tuesday night at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and we were impressed by the attentive service. However, we were honestly pretty surprised by the strong smell of marijuana coming from the bartender, a slender short-haired blonde woman, which made my wife pretty uneasy."
"I just checked into this hotel tonight and am extremely disappointed by several things.. 1. The fact you have to pay for parking. The parking lot is a MASSIVE outdoor lot that is not particularly close to the hotel. We’re talking 100s of empty, snow covered spaces… yet the hotel charges $20 parking per night. I’ve never seen anything like it before. 2. I am a Titanium Bonvoy member and I saw there was an offer for extra points if I paid to upgrade to a deluxe king suite, which I did. I’m in the room now and am wondering what about this room is a deluxe suite? It is a very standard room. Small bathroom on the right and small studio style room straight ahead. How is this a suite? 3. The lobby smells very strongly of a strange cologne like you’re in Abercrombie. 4. The location is pretty poor with not a lot nearby. Honestly that’s fine, but given the fact that the location is not in a busy area, then I don’t understand how they can get away with charging for parking… The only reason this is a 2 star review instead of 1 star is because it is a nicely decorated lobby and the staff have been nice. Based on the rest of the experience though, I would not recommend this hotel."
"I have never been treated so poorly at a hotel. There was three people in my hotel room and they kicked us out for “noise complaints” but we weren’t playing music, any loud noises, and didn’t have excessive alcohol. We needed to return the next day for a wedding and they said we were welcome on the premises 5 hours later but not allowed to sleep there or we would be arrested. Would never recommend this hotel. Ended up going to another Marriott next door and had no issues with the same people - understand they’re a college town and don’t tolerate nonsense, but we’re doctors in our 30s. We had always been respectful and never tried to disturb their peace. The manager was incompetent and rude when trying to talk with him about the situation - he was not knowledgeable about the hotel, the rules, or the situation. Will continue to only be staying at IHG Hotels/intercontinental or the Ritz."
"We had a quick 1 night stay, but loved the experience as a couple with a dog. The hotel is very new, clean and well-appointed. The room was spacious and very stylish. We both made use of the gym which was well-equipped, spotless and had a nice view. We also ordered dinner in from the Well & Good restaurant, it was pricey but very good. As we checked out, we got coffee from the cafe which was again very good coffee. Overall it was a lovely stay and a great value with every amenitity you could ask for. There is $50 pet fee, I think that's per night. They have a paid parking lot and valet, but on weekend evenings, the street parking is free and it's a quiet area on Nebraska's Innovation Campus."
