The Quarters at Lincoln 301 West Charleston Street, Lincoln, NE 68528

"Not only is the management poor, but the apartment quality is horrible. This is the definition of "you get what you pay for", right after moving in we had concerns about mold due to filthy and speckled substances on and inside of our vents. Without even looking at it we were told it was "dust" and that it just needed to be cleaned. Even if it was not mold, the management acted like it was a ridiculous request, when multiple external sources said it was possibly a concern (refer to photos taken the day of move-in). We also had sticky ceiling fans from previous tenants who were smokers, hair stuck to the wall due to being painted over, and an overall lack of upkeep. Our unit looks VASTLY different from the ones pictured on the website and in the showroom, from the quality to the actual furniture itself. I also had issues within the first day of moving in with my bedroom door that would not latch or lock and was practically falling off the hinges (reference photos). Besides this, there is a consistent lack of communication from management. One of those concerns is the hot tub, it is one of the quarter's best amenities and is frequently locked before its official closing. Not only does it close early (with no communication) it will be broken with no acknowledgment from property management. Additionally, our building's entry door key phob broke a couple of months ago and instead of fixing it to ensure our safety, they completely disabled the locks as a "permanent" fix. Overall, my experience at The Quarters has been a continuous lack of communication from management. I was warned about the property before moving here and I wish I would have listened. I DO NOT RECOMMEND living here unless you consistently want to deal with maintenance issues and a poor-quality of facilities/living conditions."

"I just wanted to get it out of the way and say that the staff is overly nice and I appreciate the kind service they offer. However, I do not recommend paying the additional $30 a month to pay for covered parking. This is never forced and anybody can park in ur spot and ur told “wait til the next morning or later afternoon and call us again if they are still there”. NO! I pay for that parking spot for a reason; tow the darn vehicle. Also, the snow removal here is the worse I’ve seen for any apartment living. The road leading into the quarters is always the last to be scooped, and the workers pave a path from the door not even wide enough for a wheel chair to fit through. So much for being “handicap accessible.” Also when they go through and scoop the roads, they block in every car and it’s hard to get in/out of your parking stall with out hitting the car next to you or the pole for the covering. Again, staff is nice, but the parking situation needs a major improvement. A majority of us living here are college kids who don’t have access to shovels. Keep that in mind please."

"Love living here! Great first apartment/college apartment. It’s just outside of the city, good parking, nice amenities. Staff in the front office and on maintenance are very friendly and helpful. For the price and location, this is a good deal."

"Have really enjoyed my experience living at The Quarters. It’s a great place for students to live and I love having the convenience of their shuttle to take me to/from campus. The maintenance team responds to issues quickly and are very knowledgeable. The office is also very responsive and they send out frequent updates on amenities/events to always keep us updated. The Quarters is also much more affordable than other student housing places, which is nice. I would definitely recommend The Quarters if you and friends are looking for a place to stay!"
