"This is a hidden gem in some of the most amazing mountains in Colorado. It is sheer luxury in the hut world. Freddy our hut master was incredible with his food and accommodation. The big deck was one of my favorite parts. The beds are comfy and the sauna is a luxurious added touch. The skiing around the hut is endless and world class. Will be returning with many different groups in the future."
"We had an absolutely incredible short visit at the Thelma hut. It’s about a 20-25 minute trek up to the hut from the parking lot and when you arrive you release you’re in an oasis. Freddy, our hut keeper, was such an accommodating and wonderful host. We arrived to a beautiful (LARGE) snack spread and small details like personal mugs and slippers! There are also snuggly ponchos for use. He quickly fired up the sauna for us, and it was one of the most unique and gorgeous saunas I’ve ever experienced! Dinner was WOW - absolutely delicious. The same can be said for breakfast which had so many delicious options handmade by Freddy. Overall we couldn’t stop feeling in awe at the beauty of the surroundings, the small details of cozy comfort, and the attentive thoughtfulness of Freddy. We can’t wait to go back!!"
"We really had a tremendously good time at the Thelma Hut. I can't say enough good things about our visit - we just wish we could've been there longer. Jack was an awesome hut keeper/host/chef; by the end of just a few days, he felt like a friend (a friend who can really cook!). What a great spot. Heck, even the sauna was amazing. We already look forward to going back!"
"Our crew had the most amazing time at the Thelma hut. Highly highly recommend! The food was great, amenities awesome, super clean hut and we got lucky with fresh snow and a bluebird day. Our host, Freddy was the absolute best. Thanks a ton Freddy!!"
"We stayed at campfire ranch on labor day weekend not really knowing what to expect! Well it was better than we could have ever imagined. A lot of why it was so great was because Freddy the hut keeper made sure our stay was comfortable and yummy. He was also very nice to our inquisitive daughter and even taught her how to build a fire. The views were magnificent the food was so good and it was just a really nice get away. They really put an effort in to personalize the experience and that is one of my favorite things about the thelma hut :)! One other note: if you are coming from low altitude be nice to yourself and get acclimated before you come up this high!!"
