Reviews of Telluride Adventure Center
"My kids all love the jump, except for one. The 3 had the lady with blonde hair- amazing and so helpful! The one that didn’t enjoy it had someone who was not helpful or engaging her to jump or showing her how to jump. She ended early because she was just standing there and did not know what to do. Not sure of her name but she had long black hair. Go to the blonde- not the person with long black hair."
"My son did a week of summer camp at the Telluride Adventure Center and had a wonderful time even though it rained the majority of our visit. All of the counselors working the camp while he was there were great. We definitely recommend the summer program for kids here."
"Was pretty excited for the snowboarding lessons, but after taking them, I can say that was the biggest waste of $170 I have ever experienced! Instructor was not very helpful and moved much to quickly spending most of his time with the individuals doing the best and practically ignoring the ones struggling the most. I asked him to assist me with strapping up my bindings and He left me for 20min sitting in the snow while he moved the class forward for the other people (of course I missed that part of the lesson waiting for him to help get my binding sorted). After learning nothing (definitely not enough practice time) he threw me onto a slope I was not prepared for and after that took 30-40 minutes (he could have allotted to more practice time) to tune the board of a participant who was already doing fine. (Tune, not fix) He seemed more concerned with his track record of success stories than he did with actually helping someone who needed it. If you actually want lessons and have no experience at all, I'd definitely avoid this waste of time and money!"
"Hired snowbikes. Was quite a cool and different experience! They give you an hour lesson on how to use them and then they leave you for the rest of the day to use them on your own!"
"The good, the bad, and the ugly... The good: Eric from Des Moines, IA was an AWESOME guide for the snowshoeing tours! So much positive energy radiating from him, and he even stopped to give us breaks. I would do this every time we come back! So for him a 5 star rating!! The bad and the ugly: At first we were overjoyed with some puppy love from Koda, a husky puppy who is found in the shop. However we quickly found out that she was NOT properly trained (even for a 5 month old) and food AGGRESSIVE!! My sister has a certified service dog and carries treats in a plastic bag in her pocket. When we went in, Koda tried to play with the service dog, by no fault of her own. However, Koda proceeded to jump up and bite the pockets to get to the treats. Her service dog was at her hip sitting waiting for the next 'command' and Koda bit him in the face aggressively... After "restraining" Koda they "politely" asked MY SISTER TO LEAVE. Let me say that again... They asked HER AND HER SERVICE DOG TO LEAVE because their dog was being disruptive and couldn't be controlled... And for that a 1 star rating!!!!"
