"The staff here are great! Friendly and knowledgeable about the local area around. For a first time rider, I had so much fun and the horses are easily controllable. The scenery out there is beautiful, exactly what you'd think a western landscape looks like. I'd highly recommend this ranch for anyone."

"This is the Wild West at its best! The location is strikingly beautiful and iconically western. And the wranglers at Baker Ranch, Paul and Rosie, are the real deal, having been raised here in this Colorado High Country, working with horses since childhood. They know and love these animals -- this outfit also owns and trains their horses (they are not leased and sorry old things like on many trail rides). I learned so much horse behavior and handling technique from their healthy, well-schooled animals, and wrangler Paul's tips on how to move with a loping horse, use my feet and knees...made a far better rider out of me in a few hours in some of the prettiest horse country that you can access. I can not recommend this Baker Ranch "Maverick Ride" highly enough. Loved this place!"
