"I’ve lived at Station 121 for a little less than a year. The apartment is spacious, with high ceilings and new/updated finishes and appliances. Maintenance is timely and professional, and the management team is great. The apartment is located right downtown but has nice parking access. I recommend this apartment for anyone looking for something unique!"
"This is an updated review after around 8 months of living here: PROS: -it’s right downtown, within walking distance of many food options -the staff is very friendly and responsive. They really keep up with building service and service requests are answered almost immediately. They also have an emergency line. -price. For living downtown and having a washer/dryer in my unit, it’s a pretty good cost. -I NEVER hear my neighbors. It’s almost like a ghost building sometimes, lol. CONS: -parking. The parking lot is open and unsupervised. There is nowhere within site to park for free (meters are free after 9PM until 9AM). This building is a few blocks away from a homeless shelter and there are often people wandering through the lot. Not the safest to be walking to and from during the dark hours. -noise. Omg is it LOUD. Street racers crowd the streets Friday and Saturday night. The walls of this building seem thick, but definitely aren’t thick enough to come close to minimizing their noise or the all day fire trucks and train passing (the train tracks are nearly next door to this complex). -safety. It’s a little bit sketchy down in this area. Not much police petrol-they’re only out here to ticket people who don’t pay the parking meters. Homeless and mentally ill people are often wandering right outside or near the building. Writing this as a young, single woman: you just have to be smart about what times you’re walking about over here. I’ve been in a few scary situations (flashing, people calling at me, etc). -no management onsite. Again, management is super friendly and responsive but you have to make appointments to see them elsewhere. -it’s an old building. They do their best to maintain it, but problems arise like heat seeping in through windows in the summer and swelling the wood, and in the winter I experienced issues with my heat system. I signed a lease during one of their promotions, but also during Covid and from out of state where I couldn’t explore the area beforehand and come walk through the building. Also good to mention to READ YOUR LEASE before signing! Those promotions come with rules (i.e. if you end your lease early, you owe them the money from those promotions!). Hopefully some of this helps for those that aren’t familiar with this building and it’s location!"
"Did a virtual tour & drive by. Can't wait till my current apartment lease runs out. Price not to bad for downtown!"
"I lived in this building for over 2 years. The building is gorgeous and so was my apartment. I absolutely loved the vibe and fixtures of my apartment; it had high ceilings, big windows, good appliances. However, the property management leaves so much to be desired. In the 3.5 years I lived in a downtown Hubbell apartment building, there were something like 6 different property managers. This created absolute chaos when trying to communicate things. They messed up our lease on multiple occasions and would regularly go back on what a different manager had said just a month prior. The apartment is gorgeous, but I’m not sure it’s worth the hassle."
