"Please! Please! Please! I know they have convenient apartments, but IT IS NOT WORTH IT. I have rented many apartments in the Iowa City area and this is by far the worst company I have ever rented from. They increased the price of rent even though they promised returning tenants a promotional. The washers and dryers never work in my complex, and no signage explaining this. The machine will just collect your money. I've had mysterious $40 charges appear on my account this month and last and have never received an explanation no matter how many emails I send. THE EMAILS!! Don't get me started on the lack of responsiveness on emails. It's actually criminal. Lastly, on several occasions I've had a "maintenance person" come to my door to check on work orders I did not put in. This will happen at all hours of the day as well. Shady.... The security around here is also horrifying. You deserve better than ANC. 0 STARS."

"Please note!! This is also "Apartments Near Campus" Iowa City! They have changed their name to dodge all of these negative google reviews. No customer service whatsoever. They do not respond to contact attempts, have an F rating on Better Business Bureau and as you see horrible google reviews. Beware of buying a permit for their apartment parking. Car will be towed even if parked in registered spot when they have your plate information, car make and model etc. They work closely with towing company and won't contact you if towed. Paid $1660 to park here for a year and now $900 in towing fees. Total scam."

"I live here currently and I wish I could move out (obviously can’t because I signed a lease). I’ve lived in apartments my whole life and this management is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. They don’t respond to emails despite how many I’ve sent, they don’t answer the phones and the 10% of the time they do, they give me the go around and act like they want to help but as soon as they hang up the phone they go right back to not doing their jobs. In addition to that, my apartment building had a bat infestation that they refused to deal with, so I had to do it myself. My AC was spitting black mold and they refused to change it, they instead rinsed it with water and plugged the wet plug back into the outlet. They finally changed it after resorting to drastic measures but then informed me that they were going to put the moldy AC in another apartment anyway. My sink is cracked and they won’t fix it, there is mildew and mold under my bathroom floor (you can see it and smell it) and they said they won’t fix it until it’s a huge issue. The toilet feels like it is falling through the floor and they state it’s fine. I’ve only lived here for three months. I can’t say enough bad things about this company."

"RETRACTION. As two girls who are mainly home or at class, we don't cause too much mess. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. By the time our lease was up we expected most of it back but from a 500$ lease we only received $270.5 back. No one responded to my emails or calls for a month. Terrible service and the apartment wasn't even that nice. these are our pictures once we moved out they claim it took 2 people 2 and 1/2 hours to scrub our place. burner pans are scrubbed."
