I hope he approves my application, with the first 8 months, which gives me enough time to establish a job, and have so much saved up for rent, as a single mother of two young daughters and want what is best for them. The apt I was shown was just beautiful as I did say newly remodeled. Prayers I can be give a chance, and if you take that chance, i promise you will come threw on my word! "Went to see two units yesterday. Found them to be clean, cute, efficient. Efficiency was tiny, as most are, but has full bath. 1 bedroom was a nice size, has larger bathroom. Both units have wall air units. Was told heat/water/trash included in rent. Allows cats but no dogs. Near shopping centers. Has onsite laundry room. Ample parking. Owner Kurt was very nice to chat with. I won't be renting either unit though, since I have 2 dogs. Note: Sent notice to google that the address and photo listed prior was completely incorrect. They were showing it located up off of Burlington St. The review that Lauren shared above had photos showing mold on shower doors, I didn't see that at all in the two units I viewed. Since the address was incorrect, I have to wonder if she reviewed the wrong property?!?"

"Ownership cares about tenants and doesnt just take or overcharge security deposit like a ton of other landlords. Decent apartments and a great value for the price- in a good location in Iowa City."

"I've had a positive experience with Kurt. 1) He went through hours of security camera footage after my car windshield was broken 2) He provided receipts for the move-out cleaning and fixed a mistake from overbilling, even when I had moved to another state. I feel that these acts speak to his character, and I wish his business well."

"Took my Daughter apartment shopping for her upcoming school year. Being a lifetime resident of Iowa City we knew the part of town that K R apartments was on had gotten kind of sketchy because of the obvious reasons but had no idea it was this bad! Pulled into the parking lot of K R plaza that had business on the bottom half and apartments on top. It was just after 8pm and right away it felt like a inner city gang movie scene! People hanging over the upper railing smoking, drinking and cursing at each other in 5 different languages. 2 unsupervised children running in the parking lot and when we were trying to get the hell out of there, 4 mexicans standing behind the dumpster fence smoking weed...yes, we could smell it! My God, Ken Ranshaw would roll over in his grave if he knew how this place had turned out! If you are a illegal invader, on section 8 or on welfare, this is your wonderland! Every one else Run!"
