"Lived here for 5 years it was a great nice and quiet maintenance was on top of it anytime you needed it"
"Applied for a townhome on 5/31/2022. Each time I call to follow up on my application, I receive a voicemail message that says "Hi, this is Dan please leave a message and I will return your call." I have not received a return call. No one ever answers the phone. Deer Creek Realty took my application fee with no problem. Update: 6/14/2022 at 5:38pm - I received a callback from Dan Schmit of Deer Creek Realty. I am very pleased with the conversation with Dan and look forward to scheduling a tour of the property very soon. Thank you, Dan, for responding to my phone messages and speaking with me about the property as well as my application. Glad to end the day on a positive note. Update 8/18/2022 - I was informed that several townhomes were being remodeled and one would be ready by July, which turned into August. An online account was set up so that electronic payments could be made and the lease could be signed electronically. I was told the townhome would be finished by 8/16/2022. When I was given a virtual tour of the place on 8/17/2022, the townhome was not move-in ready. The kitchen still needed to have a portion of the cabinets cut down so the microwave could be installed, there were window coverings missing along with window and patio screens missing. The utility room was full of left over paint cans and other stuff barely leaving any room for a washer/dryer, and to take the cake, a tray of paint and the paint roller was in the refrigerator. The carpet also did not look new; it was dusty and dingy and looked very cheap. I was told new carpet was ordered, this didn't look like new carpet. The property mgr Dan tried to bully me into signing a lease when the place was clearly not ready. I informed Dan that a lease is a legally binding contract and once it is signed, that is a declaration that everything in the townhome is okay and the place was presented move in ready. The landlord can use the signed lease as proof of your agreement that the place was suitable and the tenant then has no right to take the landlord to court for breach of contract for presenting you with a place that is not suitable for move in. Then when you move out the landlord can charge you for damages you did not cause. The judge will side with the land lord can legally charge you for any and all damages and you will lose your security deposit and end up paying more. This is how property management companies are taking advantage of people and enriching themselves by unethical and possibly illegal business practices. Dan had the nerve to say that "there are plenty of people who would sign a lease for the place that is not move in ready or sight unseen and he had no plans to change his business practices and would continue to do business as usual." In the end, Da said that he would give the townhome away to another applicant and told me that I would never get a townhome and would continue to be passed over because I refuse to do business like he does business, meaning sign a lease for a townhouse that obviously needs work. I had to cancel all utility installation appointments for that townhome. I believe I dodged a bullet. It is never good business practice to do business with someone who has no integrity and never smart to sign a legally binding contract sight unseen or when the home is not move in ready and incomplete. Dan has no integrity and no one should ever rent from Deer creek Realty unless you want to be taken advantage of and mistreated."
"Very affordable, updated units, reasonable utilities a real gem! I love my townhome! Snow/ice removal is prompt, maintenance is addressed in a timely manner, and the manager is very helpful with issues brought to his attention. Top notch! Only reason I didn't go 5 stars is parking is very limited so I have to pay for a reserved space but I'm glad to do it so it ensures I have a place to park when I get home at odd hours."
