"So when visiting my brother who lives at Cornhusker Creek apartments, my car was towed. Apparently the whole lot is permit parking only. I even parked in the middle so as not to be close to the building. There is absolutely no signs warning me I was at risk of being towed. I thought my car was stolen! Called 911 and they calmed me down and found out it had been towed. Nice! I called the office the next day to see if they have a visitor parking for guest? Put on hold for a minute.. the gal returns and says "not at this moment." Not at this moment? So, your tenants cannot have any guest, family or friends, without the risk of being towed? Wow, you should advertise that when you're looking for new tenants. That's awesome!! She said thank you and hung up."
"I lived here for about 16 months and moved out in March 2022. It wasn’t a year lease because they told us we couldn’t move out in the winter. We had a somewhat renovated unit (2 bedroom/1bath) we paid $815 for. It was nice for the price, but when we wanted to renew the lease, they raised the rent to about $950? Somewhere around there. Not including power or internet. They hire a towing company to check the parking lot a couple times a week (in the middle of the night around 1am) for expired plates. Had our car towed once, a friends car was also towed another time. That was our mistake, but definitely falls under predatory towing. I’ve never lived at a place that does this. It was $250 (cash only) to get each car out, and the tow lot was 35 minutes away. I didn’t like how they put white peel and stick paper over the cabinets and the bathroom vanity. It probably looked nice when it was first done, but it was peeling everywhere. We didn’t notice it until we were moved in. They did a lot of cutting corners to make things look nice, when they were actually just painted over. They also put a black coating over the parking lot about a year ago. It smelled like tar mixed with paint? I’m not sure, but it got sticky when it was hot out. The first month we were there we couldn’t use the dishwasher because it was leaking. We had to call the main office pretty much everyday to ask about our maintenance request. After a month we said we would be withholding rent because we’re pay for a dishwasher we can’t use, and the girl who answered that day tried to tell us washing them by hand uses less water. After I explained that’s not true, and that’s not the point, she called me combative and hung up on me. The next day, I called and ask for maintenances cell phone number. We called, and it was fixed the next day. We had a few other maintenance issues, but they were fixed within a week. Maintenance guys were really nice. They did an inspection of every unit, every 6 months to check the integrity of the unit. We thought it was weird, because most places only do this when you move out. Another tenant said it was just a money grab. I liked that buildings were locked, and there was plenty of parking next to our building. Our little balcony was nice too. Overall I liked living here when we were left alone. The other tenants were nice, and we never had any bug problems. I’m giving 3 stars because of the towing, and because of the rent increase. If they invested money to make things look nice instead of cutting corners, then yes the new price would definitely be fitting. We moved to a new place for a couple hundred more, where the price matches the renovations. Our new place also has a pool, a 24hr gym, and in unit laundry."
"If it was possible to give this no stars I would. OPPM is absolutely terrible! I would not recommend living here or dealing with this management company ever. I had cockroaches prior to even moving in, I put in several maintenance requests to have them taken care of and they neglected to do so. I had them for over 8+ months until FINALLY they had pest control come and spray. When I finally got to my last 30 days, they require a written letter for vacating the premises. We had given that letter 30 days prior to our move out date and was still questioned whether we were moving out, when and what day. Save yourself some time and DO NOT do any business with OPPM."
"Extremely rude staff. Ridiculous price for rent/fees as well as inconsistencies. I paid 890 for rent in a 2br and found out other residents were complaining that their rent was being raised to 790.... it was less but being raised to 100 less than what I was already paying for the same floor plan!? The apartment was mostly well kept, no issues with things breaking or anything so that’s a plus. My biggest issue was oppm. I’ve rented from several companies in the past but I have never had the misfortune of dealing with such a rude and disrespectful group of people. Beware of OPPM!"
"Nothing but problems and I have only been here a year. Plumbing backed up they had to come 2 separate times to fix it. Maintenance leaves holes in wall and mess to clean up. They don’t give out notices for anything, they texted me saying cars were being towed without tags or expired tags and 2 seconds after the text I checked And my car was gone. They charge 65$ for garages that have no electricity or door openers. No maintenance on the playground outside for the kids. Pokeys everywhere and concrete and basketball hoop are rusted and broken. The OPPM office has no idea what you are talking about when you call and they take weeks to get back to you or you have to continually call them to get an answer. They are quick to charge you fees. The walls are paper thin I can hear the people above me and right next to me all night and day. -10000/10 don’t recommend."
