"The rental was awesome, they gave me a great car at a very fair price at the last minute, but why is it anytime you leave something in a car and they clean the car nobody ever sees that item when you call to try and recover it? I left my wedding ring in this car. I know exactly where it was. The car was cleaned and rented out immediately. Nobody saw the ring. it just vanished. Why?"

"This was the best car rental ever! I arrived late Friday evening and was welcomed by Lei right when I stepped out of the shuttle bus. Lei was very professional and friendly, helped me find the right car for my trip, and walked me through the main functions including transferring between 2HI / 4HI / 4LO. I always rent at National and comparing my experience to the other National locations across the US, this was definitely the best experience both people wise (interactions and professionality of staff) and technically (the car was super clean and its technical state was perfect). Lei made the start of my vacation 100% positive for which I'm very thankful. Hope I can come back and rent from this location again!"

"We rented a car from National on the Big Island (Hawaii) at Kona airport. We landed around 6 pm local time. I think over half of our flight was renting from National - literally. At least two shuttle buses full of travelers converged on National. We were dreading a long wait for a car. The staff was exceptional. There were obviously several special requests - minivans, full size SUVs - and a lot of us that just needed a car. I could not believe how quickly the staff provided vehicles and processed a large crowd. They were terrific. Despite the size of the crowd, I could hear them answering questions about locations, providing instruction and directions. We received our vehicle 14 minutes after our arrival at the rental location. The vehicle had just been cleaned and washed. Everything was in working order. The vehicle did not have any issues. Returning the vehicle took just a few minutes. We would also point out that both shuttle drivers were helpful and professional. They fit this team well. Overall, a great experience."

"The shuttle driver, Troy, forgot to drop us off at our airline when taking us back to the terminal. As a result, we had to ride back to the rental location before being taken back to the terminal. The driver did not apologize and sarcastically commented that we had enough time for our flight. This kind of customer service is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the management of the company. Employees appear inadequately trained, and I did not receive any response from the company after it occurred. After being a loyal customer for many years, I am now considering to take my business elsewhere."
