"Kona Chris was a superior driver and tour guide. Lots of “dad jokes” and he made sure we got plenty of time to see all the locations and got us back to the boat a little early. Great knowledge of the history of Hawaii."
"I took my BMW which had electrical issues to this shop to avoid dealership repair prices. From the onset there was a lack of communications and I had to initiate all inquiries during the 12 weeks that they had my car. First they told me that their diagnostics indicated that I needed a new instrument cluster. I asked if a used one off Ebay could be installed. The answer was NO for a variety of reasons, one being that the odometer could not be changed like a new one to reflect the actual miles on the car. It was hoped that a new instrument cluster would take care of the convertible top release and lock as well. I gave them the OK to obtain a new one at around $1,000 with an hour for installation. No word for a few weeks so I call them and Matt says there are no instrument clusters anywhere in the country for this car. I call the BMW dealership located directly behind them and they tell me there are several. After 11 weeks of hearing excuses why the car is not done, with no real improvements and the convertible top still not working I tell them that I’m taking the car to the dealership. Matt threatens not to release the vehicle to me citing that it is not completely repaired, stating that he did not know if the air bag was connected. Then he tells me that he does not want a credit card payment for fear I would cancel it. Over $2,000 is paid for basically no improvement and the shop refused to warranty their work as I gave them ”insufficient time” to complete the work. Payment with a check via USPS arranged as I live east Hawai. Matt promises to deliver the car to the dealership upon receipt of the check. I call BMW Dealership and they report that my car never made it there, even after the check was cashed. With no cooperation from Getzinger, it was BMW dealership staff that actually retrieved my car almost a week later. A totally regrettable experience: over $2,000, 12 weeks of aggravation, no real improvement, did not re-connect audio, and they did not provide the old instrument cluster as requested. You are forewarned!"
"I brought a Land Rover in pretty rough share to these guys. Firstly, they know Land Rovers; some of the technicians own and drive them. Second: they don't over-promise. They are good communicators, realistic and straight-up. They have the diagnostic equipment and ability to size up a problem. They do not treat you like a here-today, gone-tomorrow transaction. This is a combination of wanting return business, but also a demonstration of knowledge in the vehicles that they service and a genuine interest. Although they specialize in foreign makes their rates are reasonable and competitive with generic shops."
"On 6.20.17 I took my BMW to this shop simply due to the fact that my turn signal bulb burned out. I purchased a bulb and because I didn't have the tools thought I would see if they could quickly replace. So the Guy at the counter said he needed to look up what it entails and the time it would take to replace. So I am quoted 1+hrs at $138.00 per hour and told that they need to remove the bumper to replace this turn signal. WHAT A JOKE AND RIP OFF!!!!!!!! I go home and you tube it and all I had to do was remove 4 little screws. I used them once before to replace my window regulator and was happy with the job, but this place I feel took full advantage of me. The feeling I got when I walked out of there was that they were more than happy to Laugh and Charge whatever they want. I am disgusted with this place and will never go back."
"My Audi overheated and blew a head gasket driving home this shop; they had just replaced some coolant hoses and a water pump. When I finally got in touch with the owner of the shop (aprox. 3 weeks) he claimed the blown head gasket was a pre-existing condition (a complete lie) and refused to repair the car. I guess he figured I didn't know anything about basic engine operation, or anything about my car. This shop used to be European auto specialists, and did great work, and stood behind it, but they have gone down hill since the old owner sold the shop to his son. I could rant more about how unprofessional this place is, but I think I've given you enough warning. Save yourself the headache and the hassle. Go to a different shop."
