"I really wasn't impressed at all with these single family home rentals. The idea in principle sounds great, but in practice it turned out to be quite the opposite. The rent and all of the additional fees of it, such as monthly pet fee, amenity fees, deposits, etc all add up. And I guess this wouldn't be a problem if the quality of the home was considerably better. But I found the craftmanship to be poor throughout the home, electrical problems, incorrectly hung fixtures (i.e. who mounts items to drywall and not the studs?!), And skipping on the usage of quality materials. The best example I can give is the use of wood baseboards in the bathrooms as opposed to tiles. Obviously they're going to get wet and rot and paint will fade. So it's just disappointing to see this home that looks semi good from the outside just really be poorly made on the inside. The reason why it's not a single star is, honestly, the management is pretty good (but not great). It's not their fault that the quality of the home and the overpriced nature of it is relatively so disproportionate. But, if I think about the lot size and how much money they're making per square area, it is understandable that they have to charge so much money to recuperate costs. Because if they were to put up an apartment complex and fit four times the amount of people per square area, the rent would undoubtedly be less. So, as long as you understand that you're paying in high price tag for much less and poor quality work, then this place is acceptable for a short-term. But it's definitely not worth it for the long term."
