"Have been out of this apartment complex for over a year now and while sometimes we miss the location we are so happy to not be living here. The front desk staff and maintenance staff was always very friendly when I was there but management was a freaking nightmare with constant turnover and an utter lack of professionalism and humanity by managers (at least when we were there). We were also essentially paying a mortgage for what they think is “luxury” that in reality were broken or unusable amenities, loud Airbnb residents, and unkept common areas. I constantly wondered how often the carpets in the halls were vacuumed. Spills would be in main areas for days, dog hair, etc. Unless they have done a complete 180 if you’re going to pay the cost, go somewhere that is actually luxury."
"After visiting the location and enjoying the experience overall, I decided to commit to an application and forwarding materials in December of 2023. Michael, a manager with City Club, was the one I was in contact with the most. I communicated with him that I was finishing up my internship with the government and graduating from KU in December. Since I was converting to a full-time position, and my lease was expiring on February 19th of 2024, I was attempting to be proactive in my search. Michael assured me that they would have a unit and went back and forth with me to get required documents. They sent the lease on February 2nd, and I got it signed and sent back February 4th. After requesting I schedule orientation by emailing a separate person at the location on the 5th, I got an email that they were canceling my lease 10 days before I am supposed to move out on the 9th with this very impersonal message: "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this will undoubtedly cause you and wish you the best of luck." The justification was that they are in the process of transitioning management effective immediately. Be cautious dealing with this team."
"I reside in a residence that claims to be luxurious; however, there are several shortcomings. The garage fees are exorbitant ($140-180) whereas this one has very regular problems like the garage door not closing. Also, half of the gym dumbbells has been missing for a year despite my repeated requests for resolution, and there are leaks in the gym area. I would advise prospective residents to carefully consider the location of their apartment within the building. It's possible to be disturbed by noise from the gym and party hall. Otherwise, the building is well located. Maintenance responds quickly to any problem"
"City Club has been a wonderful place to call home for the last year! Convenient location, responsive management, fun amenities, modern living spaces! Felicia, Tasha and the team have worked hard to make changes to old issues and are super communicative, friendly and always do their best. Weekly social events have been great for a KC newcomer and remote worker to meet the wonderful staff and residents. It’s a great community!"
"My boyfriend and I moved into this apartment building 3 weeks ago and we couldn’t be happier. The amenities, views, and apartments themselves are gorgeous. Not only do you have all of the amazing amenities but you also have a dollar general that is connected to the apartment building. Everything is so clean and everyone is so nice! We worked with Aloette in the office through out our whole process and she is AMAZING! She is so sweet, super understanding and goes above and beyond to make sure you’re happy! Couldn’t recommend this place enough!"
