New Longview Apartments

"I moved here in September. This is the best apartment complex I've lived in. I was super hesitant to try apartment living again, but I'm so glad I did. The layout feels more like a house than an apartment. Everything is kept clean. I haven't had any maintenance issues. My electric bill is a little high in the winter, partly due to cold air coming from the windows, but mostly because I'm always cold and have the heat turned up high for most peoples standards. My bill was extremely low in the warmer months. They always let us know ahead of time before maintenance needs to come in, which I'm super thankful for because I have a very nervous cat. My neighbors aren't loud during night hours either. The place is beautiful and I get some of the most beautiful views from my balcony. The staff is amazing and Maddie really helped me feel welcome when I moved here."

"He has had problems with the payment portal from the start, July to October, making it impossible to pay rent on time, which they will charge for even if it's their fault. Constant issues using the flex pay option that was supposed to help the situation. No one in the office seems to understand the frustration or care. My partner is vigilant about paying things on time and being charged fees for things that aren't our fault is getting old! The dishwasher stinks no matter what we do. Under the kitchen sink has been leaked on previously and never fixed. They came to fix our disposal and left it, even after we said something. The windows aren't the right size so our bills are higher than they should be. They know the windows don't fit but thus far have made no progress to actually fix them. They replaced the door seals but you can still see daylight through the frame. We had the AC go out and it took two days to send someone out just to empty the overflow...we could have done that if we knew... Our garage door opener doesn't work and we just get told to place another work order. He has complained several times about our upstairs neighbor who sounds like Godzilla stomping away and throwing things around every moment they are home. Nothing has actually been done. We cannot relax in our space that we're already overpaying for. So many stupid things. Considering moving out and having our lawyer deal with it. Honestly. Move anywhere else. This continues to be a nightmare. Update: now inside our apartment is frozen because they never replaced or actually fixed the windows. We have the whole spare bedroom with frozen walls, frost and snow building up inside the windows, a frozen outlet, and frozen walls in our living room. We've had to duct tape the front door frame because of the half inch gap in the frame that was also supposed to be taken care of."

"This is a nice place to live and is being run by a good management team. The staff and any support staff (such as outside contractors), have been top notch. We recently had our windows replaced, and the men who were contracted to do the work were some of the politest and diligent people I’ve had the pleasure of receiving service from. You can expect issues to be addressed and acted upon in a timely manner. New Longview regularly hosts small events for the apartment community to engage in, giving a warm reception to all. I recommend this as a nice place to live."

"Initially moved in thinking this would be a nice community, however not worth the price or hassle. I dealt with so many maintenance issues that never really got fixed. This was 12 months from hell. Plumbing issues, flooding, pipes constantly freezing. Electrical issues, outlets not working and them refusing to fix them, HVAC constantly going out on the hottest days of summer because they refused to replace it and tried to remodel the issue but providing a huge window unit air conditioner. Community property is worn down and outdated, half the equipment at the gym doesn’t actually work, they replaced the windows around the property and never replaced the huge window you see boarded up in the photo. It was quite embarrassing to invite guest over when the properly looked so run down and was always dirty and filled with litter. Building stairs never cleaned, they were covered in trash splatters and filth. It would normally be tons of flies from the trash compactor never working and that area always being surrounded but trash. I’m a 12 month span we had to put in nearly 30 maintenance request for so many issues. Maintenance would enter apartment with no warning at all and not leave a note stating they were there, the only way to tell was because they would leave a mess in the area they were in. I constantly had to call them and tell them to notify me prior to entering my home. JVM as a whole is fine, but I would not recommend new Longview to anyone. Side note: because of the terrible quality of windows your electric bill will be through the roof. The low quality windows and doors have terrible seals, requiring much more to cool or heat the apartment."

"I honestly love living here. It’s a beautiful community the views are amazing and I love the nature and wildlife around the area. I’ve seen so much deer just wander around. The pool is beautiful and the amenities are worth it. I had a very amazing conversation with Maddie and Matt from the office. They are super kind and very welcoming, I encouraged my friends to come live here and they did. I would recommend anyone these apartments"
