"My time here as a resident at Pinehurst the management always take care of any problems I have with fixing things in my apartment they also replace my furnace and air-conditioned that was out dated"
"Honestly these apartments aren’t too bad compared to the reviews , I’ve been here almost 3 years and they are pretty chill and could definitely be worst . I’d say the old leasing management was terrible but they have changed and the new ladies working office seem better than the last few already . Overall they are pretty nice apartments and I would recommend them to a friend ."
"Is living here better than not having a home at all? Maybe, but not by much. Here at Pinehurst you get the Rainforest Cafe experience right in your own home. It comes complete with water works courtesy of the upstairs neighbor and a mold infestation that brings nature to you. The lack of electricity in the living room really helps top it all off. Who doesn’t love living in a dark, damp space? The answer would be me, I don’t. Which is why a maintenance request was submitted two months ago, and again a month ago, but nothing has been done. Immediate action needs to be taken to prevent further damage not only to the apartment, but to my personal belongings as well. Let us not forget the health complications that also come along with constant exposure to mold. For anyone considering living at Pinehurst apartments, I would recommend checking out the tent aisle at the local Walmart before I would recommend wasting your money living here."
"My wife, son and I were due to move in these apartments on 5/19/2023. We were coming from out of state, so our apartment was not viewed before renting (our fault, we should've known better). We arrived on move in day, paid our pro rated rent and were given keys. As soon as we located our the unit and walked in, our jaws dropped at how unclean this apartment was. I'll note it looked ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like the photos on their website and social media. Almost immediately my wife and son started showing symptoms of mold exposure. We went straight back to the office and I asked for my money back and stated we would not move into that apartment under any circumstances. Desirae, the leasing agent informs me I will owe 7 months rent to break the lease we just signed half an hour before. Desirae also told me it wasn't mold. I took photos and video of the mold then turned the keys back in. Desirae called me shortly there after and offered a refund of what I had given them. Admin fees and pro rated rent was around 1k. I agreed to the refund and was told 3-5 business days to receive. The following day we spoke with the other leasing agent, Bayley. She informs us we were told wrong and its 30 business days to receive our funds back. She also stated an "expert" tested the apartment and found no traces of mold. I asked her if there was a report and was told yes, there was. I asked over the phone for the 30 day refund and the mold report in writing. I was told that I'd receive both. I received an email confirming the 30 business days for a refund. No mold report though, and when I followed up in two separate emails regarding this, she stopped responding to me all together. Now, as of 6/29/23, they are apparently owned by another property mgmt company, not Greystar, so any emails on the previous convos go unanswered. Desirae was great trying to sell us on the apartments. As soon as we signed, her tune changed and she became very unprofessional. I would not recommend this place to anyone."
"I’ve lived in their basic unit, their fireplace unit and their vaulted ceiling’s unit. I’ve moved around, but always come back to Pinehurst. My current unit is my least favorite only because of the parking is limited. If I was to move units again I would move back up the hill where parking is more available. I don’t really like that my apartment faces the parking lot. I would Like to sit on the balcony without people waving hello to me. My other unit faced the woods which was peaceful. The hill is a bit of a problem in the winter time. No bugs in any of the units I’ve been in. They spray every 3 months I believe. While it is “expensive”, it is still cheaper than other Kansas City apartments. These come with 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms. Full size washer and dryer hookups. Walk in closet. Large kitchen counters. Each apartment has its own renovated style. They’re not all the same. Some have dark cabinets and counters and some have lighter counters. The bathroom floors are some type of wood material. The vaulted ceiling one makes the living room look very large and classy. The living rooms and bedrooms are good size for an apartment. Community is quiet. Management is pretty good- obviously they expect you to pay rent on time & follow the rules. The pool Is a bit inconsistent being open since I first began living here in 2016. Not sure what the other reviews are about but I haven’t had any problems in the 3 different units I’ve been in. I noticed a review saying their photos online are fake, which isn’t true- so I’ll post mine when I moved in. I like it here."
