"We had an appointment to be shown an apartment and after we paid 20.00 fir an uber to get there not only had they rented the apartment but there was no appointment on the books"
"Mainly small apartments as there’s like 3 or 4 buildings.. online floor plans also represent that…I remember when this was open nature space. Was also interested in moving but I’ve emailed them 3 times last week and nobody has replied."
"Very nice and clean apartment complex. My wife and I moved here about two months ago. So far we are happy with this spot. Lots of parking, safe neighborhood, grocery store is a short walk, good nature trails. The apartments is good quality, neighbors are quiet, controlled access and elevator. Would highly recommend."
"I moved here in a hurry because I sold my condo very quickly. Didn't shop around much and that is my fault. This 1 bedroom apartment was approximately $1600 plus utilities and the "community" charges. When it came time to renew my lease, there was absolutely no chance of that happening. The apartment building I was in had 5 guests parking spots (additional spots located by the different buildings) in total that were usually filled by tenants with two cars, the pool is available if allowed by neighboring HOA, no gym, very loud (walls are paper thin) environment, terrible 1bdr floor plan, unresponsive and unreliable office that is consistently short staffed. They wanted to raise my rent to $1800 for the second year which is what my neighbor with two bedrooms was paying. The neighbors above me would vacuum at 9:30pm, their dog would run/jump and play ball late at night, and I could hear every cupboard shut on the daily. Above my neighbor was a child who would bounce a ball for hours. No matter the amount of complaints to the office, nothing was done. We all need to live our lives but due to the terrible quality of the building they might as well have been living in the same apartments given how much one could hear. Additionally, renting an apartment on the ground floor near the front is probably terrible since all the dogs use that patch of grass and on hot summer days the urine odor stings the nose. There are many other apartments in the area with better guest parking, gyms, pools, better floor plans, attentive staff and at a better cost. The only good things about The Elwood was the ability to quickly move in and the location was nice. This is not the apartment to move in to if you want peace and quiet after a long day."
