"At this point, the amount of fire alarm evacuations that are happening routinely on Friday/Saturday night are going to start leading to people moving out of the apartment. I myself suffer from a sleeping disorder that prevents me from going back to sleep after getting woken up, and the past two weeks of constant midnight evacuations has taken a serious toll on my health. These 100+ people parties on the 12th floor are happening every single weekend, and drugs residues are left all over the building, broken glass is all over the floor, and people go throw up all over the bathrooms/patio when they happen. Also, the Hot Tub has been closed for "Cleaning" for over two weeks now. If this place is going to advertise itself as a luxury apartment building and charge top dollar, the least they can do is have the amenities open. For the sake of every resident who has been complaining about this problem for months now: PLEASE HIRE A SECURITY GUARD TO SHUT DOWN MASSIVE 12TH FLOOR PARTIES ON WEEKENDS `"
"I am not sure where to even begin with this... first of all DO NOT rent here if you want to keep you sanity and not feel incredibly violated. First off, the office staff with make you empty "promises" about your unit before you sign the lease to entice you in. I was told I would be on the 10th floor with a East side facing view of the city (I paid the premium so I could have a nice view...) I was told I would be in Unit 1016 but when I signed the lease they put TBD on the unit number. (Beware this is how they get away with those empty promises, read your lease carefully because they specifically say in it that anything they have told you before hand that is not in the lease is not valid, only what is in the lease.) When we got our room assignments I noticed I was on the 11th floor facing west. I called and said that this isn't where I was told I would be, they told me oh well we can't do anything because all the other units are full. I was told I would still have a nice view of the city west facing. Come move-in day I open the door and my view is of the side of the building and looking into someone else's apartment. There are raging parties often (almost every week and multiple times a week sometimes) that go until 4am with hundreds of people. It was SO loud I couldn't sleep. The community area was often left disgusting. Throw up sat on the 12th floor hallways for 3+ days until they finally had it cleaned up. This is supposed to be a secure building yet hundreds of people would pile in the elevator and have access to the whole building. After one party someone who had been in the building at that party had a gun and fired shots outside...one of my main reasons for choosing this building was for the security of it. Don't let them fool you when they tell you there is a security guard on shift in the evenings...Not to mention that the office staff even attend these parties. I was told directly by one of the front desk people that they went to the party and it didn't seem safe but they "can't" do anything about it. There was a leak in my apartment that was leaking water into my walls. One night it caused a breaker to turn off and wouldn't turn back on because there was water in the outlet. My fridge wouldn't turn on and I had to call maintenance after hours. The older maintenance guy Darrin came in and helped and seemed great (read further about this fella). He said they needed to cut open the ceiling because I pointed out to him that it had been yellow since I moved in and when I told the office it was disregarded. I was told it was a "phantom" leak...How is it a "phantom" leak if it is CLEARLY leaking water and causing other things to happen like leaking into an outlet and causing water damage to the ceiling? After cutting a hole in my ceiling and patching it back up they came in a few more times to continuously paint over the water damage. It kept coming back because it was leaking and causing more yellowness but they kept painting over it. I had to put in another maintenance request to have work done in the bathtub. The older maintenance person came into my apartment to fix it. I had a camera in my apartment that detected motion and would record. I have video evidence of this guy violating my personal space and going through the top of my fridge, my drawers in my kitchen, and my bathroom drawers.... when he is finished going through my bathroom stuff he grabs his stuff like he is going to leave but then goes into my living room and then into my bedroom... He then leaves but right before leaving he sees the camera and hurries out of the apartment. I talked to office staff about this issue and told them this is HIGHLY violating and there needs to action taken. Nothing was done even though I have evidence. There is SO much more I could say about this terrible place. DO NOT live here, even the multiple lawyers I talked to about this place advised me to get out of there as soon as possible... The best thing I can say about this place is the 12th floor view is nice and Troy the other maintenance person is great."
"These apartments are beautiful-built very nicely. Everything is concrete which helps a LOT with noise. Keep in mind the building is massive and depending on which corner you reside in, it could be a 5-10 minute journey to/from your room. Kind of like getting from one casino to the next, in Vegas... a similar comparison in terms of "massive building" for Eugene. The management was very helpful & kind for the most part, however, be sure to get to know your roommates and respect all your roommates, especially privacy! There's a reason that each room is leased individually and if you take advantage of your room locks, you shouldn't have any issues at all. Location= 10/10 Price/practicality= 4/10 amenities=9/10 (crazy gym, really nice rooftop areas, the elevator can be a serious pain although it is at least quick and mostly efficient) Random inconveniences= 2/10 fire evacuations @ 3:00 AM became a bit too repetitious for my taste, although they are kind of fun in retrospect. A lot of random people hanging around the perimeter & rooftop lounges which caused the midnight mayhem. All in all = 8/10 If you can afford a place here, by all means, do it! The lease is a little scary since there's no termination of leases allowed...have fun trying to sublet your studio that is costing you $1700 with 3 months to go..etc. Just plan or become extremely wealthy and you can experience the "amazing UOB" for yourself. PS. The tweakers DO bite so it's best to call it a night before midnight, or else you may find a superhuman, super meth-man, bouldering flat panes of glass and creepin' right outside your window... To everyone facing the Burrito Boy parking lot, just don't look extra hard so that you can report all the people in the bushes..with binoculars... ;) waiting. JUST KIDDING CHILL EVERYONE! That meth-man was never out to hurt you, he just transmits knowledge to your body by tuning into the perfect wavelengths & using that super skeezer telehead of his to HACK YOUR BRAIN WOMPWOMPWOMPWOMPWOMPWOMP!! While I have clearly enjoyed my stay in these beautiful apartments, and I miss that studio life every day, I would like to deliver the Bias of my own, and finally conclude that this place fckn rocks, and again, if u have the amount of moneys needed to pay Greystar the big $ requested by them for 12 months, these are arguably the nicest apartments in Eugene--particularly for young adults & students alike! Stay safe and always carry Narcan...seriously!"
"I love this place honestly. I will say there is always room for improvement, like the parking garage having a few blind spots, and the noise here and there, but overall, it's a wonderful place. Grace and Jack are always super nice and helpful, they do a great job. The rest of the staff are super nice all the time and do what they can to help. I've lived here almost a year now, and I can say I'm glad to stay here."
"My favorite is the 12th floor balcony. So beautiful. The whole building has a good feel. The units are very nice, the amenities are awesome, gym, pool, study rooms .. The staff is very helpful and have great sense of humors.enjoyable all around"
