"Worst place I've lived. Management are all over the place, JOHN the manager doesn't know how to talk to people and does not care about the residents needs. When we first moved in multiple break ins were happening, packages kept getting stolen, and a lot of this was happening when nobody was on site (security including) John has a way of making people feel like it was their fault, lots of snarky remarks replying to residents and telling people "you need to let us know IMMEDIATELY when stuff happens" when we couldn't when nobody would be in the office to report the issues. They eventually got a roll down door but limited the time residents could get their packages. Especially people who worked past the hours of opening and closing times. The building itself was kept as well as it could with the small cleaning crew they had who were actually the nicest people you'd meet but with the lack of care from higher ups it was hard to see the good. Dog poop all over corridors from other residents , the trash cans right outside the main building constantly over flowing, rats living right outside the entrances to the building so you're constantly dodging rats jumping out of the trash and out of the bushes. The building itself is poorly designed and have paper thin walls, we'd constantly have noise distribution from neighbours lettinga their kids constantly run and scream in the hallways, parties on the roof top (not just a small get together but quite literally an event where random people were showing up) They claim to have security on site, but I only ever saw one guy who would sleep in the job and after that I'd never see anyone patrolling anywhere. Maintenance were ok, but when they come into fix an issue they like to make you feel stupid and say you should of tried XYZ method. As if they don't want to come fix the issues. Look out when it rains as well, the building will get water damage and corridors will flood due to the poor design of this building. The only competent member of staff besides the cleaners is Jose, he's far too good and nice for this place. When I "checked" out with handing over my keys and saying thank you to the lady who worked there (I didn't get her name) she just laughed that we were leaving and didn't say thank you or anything. Weeks later we get a call asking if we had returned the keys in which we had done..no communication between anyone. If you are reading this, don't move here. There are far better places to live than here. You're right by the train track so you'll get the train going by constantly and just blowing it's air horn non stop - homeless people living right outside - and the streets are pretty grim by the property. Parking is a mess, parking garage doors constantly breaking and people leaving them open, so if you have a parking spot on a lift, good luck getting your car out until someone comes to sort the issue out. Couldn't be happier to leave this hell hole."
"Worst community building to live in. The management are useless not doing anything to get the building better. In top of all this the charge you left and right to take your deposit and all the money they could (highway robbery)."
"If I could leave 0 stars I would. John, one of the little helpers of the property is incredibly rude, dismissive and completely obtuse to the needs of the tenants. Facilities look clean and sparkly but past the surface there are a plethora of administrative concerns. Never have I had such a terrible living experience. Would never recommend this property to people I love or even hate."
"I am disgusted with this place. We own a storage unit in this apartment and found out today while dropping something off in storage that it was broken into. I went on the apartment forum to notify other residents only to find out other residents posted about this 5 days ago. NO SINGLE EMAIL FROM THE APARTMENT MANAGEMENT WAS SENT TO NOTIFY US ABOUT THIS!! The apartment management seems to be sweeping things under the rug when they can. Please, 1010 Potrero management, can you explain this? And I would appreciate if you don't copy and past a generic answer to this review. This is just adding to the several mail room break ins that happened over the last few months. The way the apartment management is handing all the incidences is absolutely incompetent! No consistent security around the building. Several people have suggested lockers for mail and packages but nothing has been done because the apartment management does not seem to want to spend any money to maintain this place. I would not recommend this apartment even to my worst enemies. Please do yourself a favor and do not move here. It's too expensive to live in a place that is deteriorating. UPDATE: Apartment management responded after we emailed them. They claimed that they emailed residents affected by the storage room break in but some of the emails showed as "non delivered" (how convenient…..). We also found out that the locker room break in was through forced entry. In this case, wouldn't it be better to alert all residents since the robbers got to the floors and forcibly broke in near their apartments? I understand the apartment management is trying to avoid other residents from panicking, but this break in is not an isolated incident and storage rooms on others floors were effected too! It would be great to send out an email to everyone asking for help to report any suspicious activities that are now happening on all the floors. This is another poorly handled case by 1010 Potrero management."
"This apartment building office in house storage units, but upon using ours today we found that every single unit was broken into with a saw. This means that someone had a key fob with access to the building, and the room for the storage unit. There are only 3-5 people that pay to rent those units, and it sounds like they don't cut access to the rooms when people leave. We checked the online forum and it seems management was aware, and did NOT email us at all, even though its been over 5 days since the break in. Management has really let this place go. I would not move in here if you have other options - we're leaving as soon as our lease is up and likely looking for new storage in the mean time."
