Argonaut Hotel

"This hotel is fantastic! From the moment you walk through the front door, you are immersed into an underwater/boat/beach themed paradise. Every detail was well thought out, from the shelf decor in the lobby, to the pillows on the bed. The room was gorgeous, the wood beams with the steel doors. Just perfect, I highly recommend!"

"A gem of a hotel with a historic, authentic vibe -- post and beam construction, maritime museum attached, great restaurant, superb gym with a lot of free weights. If you are an athlete this is a great location for runners to head up the coast to the Golden Gate bridge. The rooms have nice touches such as white-washed wood paneling and huge, round, maritime-vibed mirrors on the wall. Yes, the hotel is located on the touristy wharf, but near the end of all that so the crowds aren't too bad."

"We stayed there for one night last week. We had a bay view window. You could see Alcatraz. The Golden Gate Bridge, and the Tall ships. Location is accessible to Fisherman’s wharf and six block to the Aquarium and Pier 39. It was really quiet at this time of year and staff were very friendly and helpful. Good 55 in tv in my room and Elevators operate with the security card so residents are the only one who can go to where resident's are. Big shout out to Xavier. He was very helpful."

"Lovely hotel. The location is perfect, close to all amenities. Our room was quite spacious (two queen beds, city views) compared to the rooms of the same level in other hotels. It was also quiet as this kind of old buildings have quite a good sound insulation so you won't here any noise from the outside. Service was top-notch. We were able to check in much earlier, around noon but we came in Janury so it was a low season. Still it was a pleasant surprise we didn't expect. Free bottled water every day in the reception was a pleasant bonus."

"I had such a great stay that i just wanted to spend some time to give my review so that if you're reading this you can confidently book this hotel! We've stayed in 9 different accommodation this time round during our vacation across south-west, and Argonaut was simply the best. Every single staff seems truly happy to be there and were very welcoming. I emailed them about a package that was going to arrive before I did, got a prompt response saying that they will keep a lookout for it, and during my check-in without even me mentioning they brought it over to me. I had another package 2 days later, and while i was out they brought it up all the way to my room and left it on my desk. We came with a dog, and they were truly welcoming as well. The staff even remembered her name, and she loved getting treats so much that we would have a hard time walking out of the hotel without our dog going up to the staff for treats and head scratches. The location was really good, we went around San Francisco and found it very easy to get around. Area felt much safer than downtown as well, and getting in to downtown was quick and easy. There's also a huge grass patch right beside the hotel which our dog loved. Please do also try out the Wine tasting within the hotel, the staff there is absolutely lovely and the mimosas are so good. It was such a good stay. thank you and we will be back!!"
