"I'm compelled to respond to such biased & one sided "Reviews" that are visibly skewed. Notably, negative reviews most certainly written by a vindictive former tenant displacing their irresponsibility - stinking of entitlement, upon businesses that use penalty fees as deterrents used to ensure the survival of their business. Consider for a moment (applicable to all Google reviews) why someone would post their review anonymously. When a negative review is written with $ as a sole motivation - especially in this case where late fees (a financial standard) are preventable. Everything else within a selfish review should be considered as exaggerations or lies made to justify their irresponsibility and libel. It's incredibly saddening when a person takes their self induced frustrations out upon another that is simply trying to manage what little resources an irresponsible tenant jeopardizes. Worse still, while jeopardizing the business of another, they shift blame, acting as a "victim" to anonymously & PUBLICLY bash a business that charged a known late fee as would any property owner. Living in close proximity, I can say this area has been revitalized by great effort from the city & property owners. As a man, I'm quite comfortable walking around at night. In this area, there is a saddening but minor level of kind vagrants. Due to the proximity of the Alkali Flats RT station, there are the occasional amazingly loud and obnoxious stereotypical characters, that 9 our of 10 times are humorous. Overall, this area has become a safer, cleaner, comfortable area with absolutely inspiring design and architecture. The apartments I live in at the corner of D St & 12th are clean, comfortable, and provide amazingly accessible/convenient transportation throughout Sacramento. I'd highly recommend that anyone reading this review should check out this location and perhaps speak to current tenants to see if there is any truth to the slanderous review written anonymously 3 years ago."
