"My husband, dog and I have lived here for a little over two years now. The property is very nice and the apartments all updated with stainless steel appliances. The balconies are a good size. There is a really nice pool and hot tub, 24 hour gym, yoga room, game room, barbeque areas, fire pits, bocce ball court, and dog play area. I absolutely love the gym, it has the essentials and I very well kept. Best thing about the Lex is the maintenance crew! Irving truly is the best; he's so friendly and he always comes right away when something is wrong! We love it here."
"My wife and I have been living here for about 2 years and we've been very comfortable. The amenities are very nice, sporting a pool, hot tub, game room, gym, yoga room, a large lounge area that can be reserved for private events. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. Irving, one of the maintenance staff, is awesome! He'll always say hello and ask how your day is going, and will make sure that any maintenance needs are taken care of in a timely manner."
"Living at the Lex has been great, the highlight of the 2 years here has been the maintenance crew, specifically Irving. He’s always been helpful especially in one instance our car got towed accidentally, during that situation he coordinated w t management and the tow yard to get it out for free that same day. Always happy and a great help. 5 stars !"
"Have lived here for about two years so here is my honest review after coming from another SJ Luxury Complex: The maintenance team is truly the best, very responsive, trustworthy, and friendly. Rohina is a sweetheart and is a wealth of knowledge. I respect how she is very transparent and informative compared to past management. The park and view of the mountains are refreshing and a life changer for dogs. Well lit at night. Young families and sports nightly give a community feeling, yet being right near major interstates. We enjoy exercising around the western digital block and many others do as well. Shopping and coffee are a walking distance away. Lots of FREE street parking around the park. The parking garage security has greatly improved with the new high speed doors. We have never had issues with stolen packages but we live on the higher floors that have more levels of security. There is some homelessness near the train tracks behind The Lex but they always keep to themselves."
"The office staff are very uncoordinated and slow to respond. I think they illegally charged me for a rent early termination fee when I moved out, even though I paid for the final 5 days of rent at the beginning of the month. Their staff could not justify the fee when I called and I have not heard back since. I just paid the $60 they said I owed to avoid headache. Glad I'm in a position where that's not an issue financially. When I first moved in, they also gave me another tenants parking spot, so my car was towed. They took responsibility for the payment, but that should not have happened in the first place - especially at a "luxury" apartment. Other than some misplaced emails for the renters insurance I had to keep resending, I had little other communication with the office. Prices for utilities have also gotten very expensive compared to other apartment complexes. Common utilities are split amongst all the tenants, but somehow we started paying up to $50 a month for trash alone (not the same as the additional $25 paid a month for trash pickup up by the apartment staff which was definitely nice to have). The apartments are relatively quiet with occasional parties thrown by tenants. The windows block a lot of sound so its not as much of an issue in the warm summer or cold winter months. Some tenants do not take care of their pets, so expect consistent barking. My apartment faced the inner court, so the sound was definitely amplified. Don't expect other tenants to clean up after their pets either. There were a lot of times I saw dog puke or stuff on the hallway floors and elevator (the staff tried their best to keep things clean so this wasn't an everyday thing). Generally, the apartment is nice and having the park and shopping center close was great. While prices in the bay are getting worse, the Lex might try to keep increasing your rent to some outlandish prices, so make sure to barter when the lease is up. I was happy but don't expect VIP living."
