"Elan has truly been a wonderful place to live. Its open community plan and amenities such as multiple fountains and tennis courts provide a premium living experience at very reasonable rents compared to other communities in the area. The maintenance team has always been reliable, and we've never encountered any issues in that regard. The only reason for giving it four stars is the electric range in our apartment; we believe its oven was broken, but unfortunately, Elan never addressed the issue despite our attempts to have it replaced. Nonetheless, I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to any of my friends without hesitation. Many thanks to Dmitriy, the property manager, for contributing to our positive experience during our stay."
"Lance, by FAR, has given the best customer service out of any leasing agent my roommates and I have gone to. Especially since the three of us are relatively new to the renting process, and we are getting our first place on our own, we wanted to feel confident in our choice. Lance helped us do that AND went above and beyond to answer all of our questions, make us feel safe and comfortable, and excited for our apartment!! Thanks Lance!!:)"
"Beautiful community with an excellent location. Our leasing agent Lance has been amazing! He was incredibly responsive and has helped us out through every step of the touring and leasing process. The deciding factor between a lot of apartments for my roommates and myself has been the quality of management and staff, so it’s safe to say our choice was made by all the help and warm welcomes we received from Lance :)"
"Staff is AMAZING! Car was broken in to (sadly expected anywhere in San Jose and staff very helpful), also had an ant problem for a bit and electric issues but maintenance was timely and helpful. Front staff is always fast, very kind and helpful. Pools are fantastic. Would be a 4-5 star. But rating low for resident health worries. They use leaf blowers once or more a week for over an hour which is extremely toxic for staff and residents. Let’s put this in perspective. Engineers at Edmunds (an acclaimed and certified vehicle research company) found just one hour of a commercial leaf blower expels the same amount of exhaust as a Ford F150 going from Texas to Alaska! It is the equivalent of driving 1,100 miles in a car! (California Air Resources Board) One hour! And this happens weekly if not multiple times in a week. It’s similar to all 941 apartment units at Elan driving 2 cars each by your window in one hour. Think about that. That’s every single resident car driving by your window in just one hour. Yes we have the highway near by as every San Jose apartment does, but adding another toxic element is worrisome. That’s extremely unhealthy for staff, maintenance, visitors and residents. Because of their toxicity in 2025 California has banned residents and corporations from buying gas powered leaf blowers and some states like Colorado have outright banned even using them. This is an amazing community, great people and the landscapers are SUPER hardworking people who don’t deserve to be inhaling exhaust that is literally toxic especially for children and the elderly. There is a ton of research out there to google but Respiratory Health Association has a great health breakdown of leaf blowers. I understand rakes would be a huge hassle and residents want a beautifully clean environment but there must be a solution, but meant raising my rent by a few dollars to cover paying the landscapers more so we don’t have to breathe in that toxic air. Though I personally believe clean air should be a resident right not an add on, a literal extra ONE dollar in rent would raise a 6 person landscaping teams wage about .83 cents an hour. That is an extra $134/month or $1,600 per landscaper a year (if only 800 units filled) to use a rake rather than leaf blower. Heck I’d pay $3-5/month more to keep my lungs cleaner (That is $400-667/month for individual landscapers not to use leaf blowers). I really love Elan, it’s not perfect but it’s pretty great and I don’t want to make work harder for anyone, so hopefully some solution can be found that doesn’t involve hurting staff and residents. I hope a solution can be found as this complex is a fantastic place! Thank you kindly."
"I have been staying here for half a year now. I wanna say that all staffs here are friendly and helpful! They have excellent maintenance services.Jose Pelayo was helpful and effective in helping us fixing the microwave. They have good gym too. I am hoping one day they will update their coffee machine. My old apartment has a fancy coffee machine makes hot chocolate and everything. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay at Elan."
