"The geographical location of the building is great as it is near the heart of Dogpatch and close to the Chase Center. The roof top has new furniture which makes for a great hang out space. The bathrooms in the units are spacious and there are ample kitchen cabinets. The windows in the unit let in a lot of great day light and are regularly cleaned on the outside by the building. The garage is well lit and makes it feel very safe. The manager of the building, Jennifer Cood, is easy to get in touch with and extremely fast in responding."
"We had a lovely experience with our leasing agent, Jennifer Cood. She was friendly and very patient with us when showing the units multiple times! She was also very responsive in her communication throughout the entire process. We recommend talking to her if you are interested in living here. We also loved the building, the views and amenities are pretty great!"
"Management takeover has been a disaster. Unresponsive and unfriendly. Voicemails and emails are ignored. Management does not interact with residents and worse uses tenant facilities for their one personal events. Dead landscaping. Unsecure package areas leading to theft. No onsite staff except 2 hours per week (Wed 4-6). Fruit flies have infested the building. Stairwells are locked creating potential safety and rescue hazards. It's a shitshow and still very expensive for the market. Update: The fact that management took 2+ years to respond (move out 10/31/20) should tell you all you need to know about their responsiveness. Revised to 1 star."
"Unfortunately, I have to update my review about 777Tenn. We were living at 777Tenn for about a year as one of the first people to move into the building. Initially, everything was fine. The building was still under construction, but overall we had a positive experience. We were just a little bit disappointed with the finishing details, under the hood everything felt a bit rushed. When the building filled up, building management was changed and it seemed around that time also more problems were starting to occur. My biggest complaint around that time was the fact that the mailroom was severely overpacked, and at some point packages were being stolen. We also had building management walk into our apartment during the day, unannounced and without ringing the doorbell We then came into this period where the 1-star review is mostly coming from; moving out. After we moved out, we had the apartment professionally cleaned, and communicated with management when we wanted to officially return the keys and hand over the apartment. They were not available and we were told to just leave the keys on the counter, then they would do a check of the apartment during the afternoon to make sure everything was in order. We agreed they would give us a heads up to make sure everything was fine after they did their check. Unfortunately, no communication from their side, and after one week I checked in to see if it was all in order. We were told management only collects the keys and takes photos, nothing about the state of the apartment (which was perfect in our opinion). Around one week after that, we sent an email asking if it is all in order, and if we don’t hear anything we assume it is. According to California law, the landlord/management must do a thorough inspection with the tenants in the last 2 weeks of tenancy to ensure everything is fine, and points not in order can be fixed by the tenants. Again, this was not offered, or done. We asked several times if everything was okay, and were never answered. We then got the notification of what is happening to our deposit, and to our disbelief they charged us 65% of our deposit ($775), for cleaning ($350) and repairs ($425). They did include the invoices, but unfortunately both of the companies used have no public storefront or website, so we couldn’t really investigate. When asked about the cleaning fees, the answer from management was “The cleaning fee is based on how long it takes for the unit to be professionally cleaned”. I want to stress here again, the apartment had a complete professional moving-out cleaning before we moved out. The repairs were for painting damaged wood on the wardrobe door frame and door, something that is advertised everywhere and should cost $50 to $100. Overall it feels that we’ve been overcharged by a huge amount, and there is no effort from the management side to discuss this. When asked further about these charges, and that we felt this feels like a move-out scam, communication stopped completely from their side. ------ Moved in a month ago and am very pleased until now. The neighborhood is amazing; it has little restaurants, coffee shops, fashion stores and more. The building itself is also great (although still being finished). The rooftop view is amazing and will be a great place to hang with friends or neighbors, same for the gym."
"Loving living at 777 Tenn! From the initial meet to walk through the units and talk about a lease to living here for quite some time, everything has been fantastic. The amenities are great - cool vibe, great fitness area, bike storage and awesome roof top! The apartments are stylish and the layouts are perfectly done - spacious enough too if you have a pet. Great location too and within walking distance to bars, restaurants, parks, you name it. The best part, though, is the awesome service. Dartise has been super helpful with whatever we need - whether it be coordinating maintenance, answering any questions we have, or helping with mail/packages. He is also personable when we see him in passing and great to chat with. :)"
