"Beware there is no cancellation or refund policy. It was a complete waste of $350. I tried to cancel the day after I signed up and they wouldn't let me. They were nice and extended the term since I already had a renter, but I really needed my money. I get a bad taste in my mouth over them because I lost that money on a worthless service. There are never any requests on their site."

"I know I know - it's not airbnb, it's not VRBO, but it also doesn't have the crazy fees associated with it. I spent some time with Eric on the phone and going back and forth on a potential property. He even had the property owner come and show me the property before moving ahead. CHBO has apparently been around for as long as airbnb, just without the tech and branding =). They're legit though as far as I can tell. I didn't end up renting from them (due to location and other options) but would certainly feel comfortable doing so in the future."
