"Location is great. Its easy to walk everywhere from here. Service could be better. They were acoomodating for our very late check-in, but no one has cleaned our room for two days. The walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors, some of which seem to live here full-time as tenants. Plus, the shower is not the greatest (low pressure and heating is unpredictable)."

"An old building that has settled so our room tilted. It was comfortable for us and we enjoyed our stay with great value for the price. There is an available kitchen and there seemed to be people living in some of the rooms. There are shared bathrooms, but that was not a problem for us. It could be a little cleaner in general but it was fine for us. It is close to everything downtown and close to public transportation."

"The location of the hotel is great. It's very close to great restaurants, the shops in Union Square and Chinatown. The rooms are small and plain, but since you are only sleeping in the room it doesn't matter. The staff are very accommodating. The shared showers and bathroom tend to get busy but don't hesitate to use a shower/toilet on a different floor. I stayed on the 4th floor and sometimes WiFi disconnects and is unable to reconnect."

"This is an amazing place to stay in the middle of San Francisco. Yes, it is only a bed, desk, tv and fridge, but you will find it is CLEAN and NO bugs. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The elevator is probably from the early 1900's but it is like taking a step back in time. Worth every penny we did not have to spend."

"Decent quiet place for the money and location. Their idea of double occupancy is that two people can sleep in one bed. It's a funky little place, friendly and quiet. My only real complaint is I wish the bed was better quality. There are clothes washing facilities and a small communal kitchen for cooking (at least on the floor we staid on)."
