"Pods are super comfortable and spacious. Location is right in the centre of San Francisco and it is easy to get around. What I didn’t like is that kitchen is dirty and there are no plates, bowls, glasses etc. You must come with your own stuff if you are to have/prepare smtg to eat there Also there is only 1 shower and 1 toilet for 5 pod rooms which means 20 people on 1shower/toilet"

"The reason why capsule hotels work in Japan is because some of the personal space you give up is used to provide solid shared amenities. Decent showers and bathrooms are a given. Have seen jacuzzis a couple of times. TV rooms. Etc. My floor with 20+ capsules had one tiny bathroom with an airplane sized sink. One small shower as well. Lockers so small you can't really fit anything in them. The fact these are worse amenities than what you would get at a hostel can perhaps be forgiven as they don't exactly hype them up - but still, this was painful. What made the stay *really* annoying is that the pods are advertised as being over seven feet long. I'm 6'6" and didn't fit even when I tried sleeping diagonally - my feet were pressed against one corner and my head against the opposite one. Add to that the fact the mattress is really just a pad and you have the makings of a really memorable night. Pod Room team: you can either have softer flooring under the pad (a la tatami mats) or use a proper futon. Having neither is less than considerate. Last but not least, the hotel's own booking system didn't work so I had no choice but to go through a third party website. The extra fee pushed the cost of the stay to over $100, which is atrocious for a sub-hostel experience."

"Clean and convenient. Stayed in a female pod room. I felt safe and comfortable with this room. frontdesk was friendly! Shared bath was not crowded at all. Close to everything."

"I stayed at one of the pods and had an amazing time. The hotel is in a central location, and the pods are extremely clean and cozy. The unit manager was also a very welcoming host and took care of all issues I had with the accommodation. I would absolutely stay here again."
