"Crooks. Hotel is right in the middle of the Tenderloin, which has as much history as it does challenges, yet interacting with the homeless denizens was a far more welcome experience than dealing with the staff of this "hotel". We arrived to a somewhat pleasant check in and 30 minutes later we had a woman who worked there screaming up telling us we had to leave. After informing her we were staying there and answering her followup questions she rudely told us we couldn't smoke outside our room and had to walk out to the sidewalk to which we obliged. Watch your step around the property as locals hang around drinking and pass out all along the sidewalk. The next morning we received a call at 10 and a woman told us we had to check out then .. we told her we already agreed to a 11am checkout she responded "you leave or you pay. 15 minutes later the same woman was banging on our door telling us we needed to go then accused us of smoking in the room which we did not. Then upon check out, another woman was screaming at us saying we smoked in the room. My friend tried to explain we had not, the hotel clerk said we'll you had cannibus in the room. It's California, possession of cannibus is legal and there was nothing about that in the contract we signed saying it wasnt allowed. The manager said they were going to keep our deposit because of this. This grimy, shady hotel is actively trying to cheat their guests and I would advise any and all traveller's stay far far away from this abysmal and corrupt "busniess"."
"Horrible, horrible place to stay! Woman worker harassed us multiple times during our stay. They accused us of smoking weed in the room. We did not! We had weed but never, ever did we smoke. It’s California and legal. The area is extremely sketchy! Very dangerous and disgusting. People taking # 2’s right on the side walk. The checkout time was 11. The woman called at 10 yelling at us, then came to our door right after yelling accusing us of smoking. She was standing at the railing with a mask on, how could she even smell anything? She continued to yell at us across the parking lot when we left. They wouldn’t give me my deposit back. Highly recommend NOT staying here!!!!"
"Stayed there a few nights during a business trip to San Francisco. Room I got was clean and nice. Most likely recently renovated. Check in was easy and fast, and the guy in reception was great and very friendly. Hotel has a small parking on premises which is great for San Francisco. Location is quite sketchy. Plenty of homeless people and fires on the streets at night. Otherwise, 5 minutes driving from the financial district. The main reason why I picked up this place was the free parking."
"Me and my daughter went to go see a concert and showed up at 11 o'clock at night. The neighborhood is not very good. But the manager made me feel very comfortable with staying there and we spent 2 nights with no problems and felt very comfortable. The rooms were clean."
"Inside: The room was exactly what you'd expect from a 2 star hotel, in a good way. My room was clean, bed was comfortable TV was a good size and had an HDMI cord where I could plug my fire stick. They also have direct/dish TV. Each light had its own switch which was great for lighting purposes. Water pressure and temperature was great! It even has body spray mode that shoots from the wall. The AC/heat worked really well and heated quickly and cooled off quick. I'd say the only cons for me inside the hotel was no fridge, microwave or body soap/shampoo (they do provide bar soap and hand sanitizer bottles). Outside: As far as the outside hallway area was nicely paved and bricked, quite clean. FREE PARKING!! There were always open parking spaces when we needed them so no complaints there. Staff was nice so also no complaints. Now, the block issue, just one block over you will find a bit of homeless people and some tents. None were on the block of the hotel and I'd say this hotel is right on the line where the area starts to get "cleaner". If you have a car lots of things are a quick drive down a bit over 1 mile. There's also this amazing coffee/breakfast place that we walked to called Crostini Java i Believe,100% recommend but that's another review."
